minuto was a tall and slim fella to start with, but somehow if not small perhaps somewhat slight in appearance. when paired the original uc, they somehow manage to elevate stature of both.
here's another art deco-inspired dot font. started with the lc then slowly built out the basic set. i was going to use the lc for uc as well, then started playing some more :) so here you have follies. i think the name fits since this is a playful set. and it's 2-in-1 - serif and sans serif all in one! and having a good time...at their own folly ;~
This is a cloneI have many clones of the basic version of Caractère, with different line thickness and with different arragements of diacritics and decoration elements. This is a version with many elegant decorative lines-swirls.
This is a cloneMy first public version of my font inspired by Blackletter fonts and the 'calligraphy brush 1' in mspaint. My self imposed restriction/inspertion for this was only having the brush move up/down, left/right, and the up+right/down+left diagonal.
This version only has Upper&Lower case Latin letters, numbers, a few punctuation marks (coma, period, non-directional single+double quotes, ?, !, colon and semicolon, and dash), and some common symbols (@, %, +, -, =,<, >, ^, parentheses, curly braces, slash, tilde, and pipe); but I plan to later release the version with Upper&Lower case Greek+Coptic, Upper&Lower case Cyrillic, more symbols, and letter alternates/ligatures.
The smoothed out version is here: https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/1520035/chiseltip-v1-0
Feedback is always appreciated!
This is a cloneThis is a tribute reworking of an experimental design of Rod Cavazos of PsyOps Type foundry. His Spanner font design from 1995 has always been a favorite of mine with its unexpected curves and serifs, making it similar to a Picasso portrait with letters. This fonstructivized version was a test to see if it would be possible to make an accurate reproduction. The answer was 'sort of.'
The font is from primitives, while it is more complicated than it seems. The forms are inspired, among other things, by the graphics of Yves Saint Laurent patterns and sharp shapes (resembling a beak), and the name refers to a bird - magpie - which we consider to be a symbol of greed and greed for shiny jewelry (this is typical of these birds, probably a reflex for searching for prey) .
