Part%20of%20my%20%22Found%20Type%22%20project%20at%20UWE%20where%20we%20had%20to%20design%20a%20font%20for%20a%20theme%20that%20we%20chose.%0D%0A%0D%0AI%20chose%20Saintly.%0D%0A%0D%0AThroughout%20my%20research%2C%20I%20looked%20at%20the%20architecture%20of%20churches%2C%20the%20similarities%20in%20there%20designs%20and%20how%20certain%20shapes%20could%20easily%20be%20recognised%20as%20being%20linked%20to%20that%20type%20of%20architecture.%0D%0A%0D%0AI%20then%20started%20looking%20at%20Dante%20Alghieri%27s%20Divine%20Comedy%20and%20the%20illustrations%20by%20John%20Flaxman%20and%20Gustav%20Dor%C3%A9.%0D%0A%0D%0AAt%20first%20it%20became%20difficult%20trying%20to%20figure%20out%20how%20to%20implement%20this%20into%20a%20font%2C%20but%20then%20I%20took%20on%20a%20challenge%2C%0D%0A%0D%0AWould%20it%20be%20possible%20to%20get%20Dor%C3%A9%27s%20engravings%20into%20the%20font.%0D%0A%0D%0AThen%20another%20thought%20crossed%20my%20mind%2C%20how%20do%20images%20look%20when%20compressed%20to%20low%20pixel%20quality%20sizes%20and%20how%20they%20are%20still%20recognisable.%0D%0A%0D%0ASo%20I%20did%20that%2C%20I%20bought%20a%20book%20of%20Dor%C3%A9%27s%20illustrations%20for%20the%20divine%20comedy%2C%20and%20they%20started%20to%20build%20into%20the%20letters.%0D%0A%0D%0AEach%20letter%20also%20has%20this%20Art%20Deco%20like%20area%20to%20it%20which%20went%20well%20for%20the%20Stain%20Glass%20Window%20approach%20I%20also%20wanted%20in%20the%20design.%0D%0A%0D%0AIt%20took%20a%20lot%20of%20practice%20to%20get%20this%20right%2C%20and%20there%20was%20a%20fair%20amount%20of%20copy%20and%20pasting%20here%20and%20there%20but%20overall%20I%27m%20quite%20happy%20with%20the%20turn%20out.%0D%0A%0D%0AI%20hope%20you%20all%20enjoy%21
