This is the font of Newer Super Mario Bros. DS, a romhack of New Super Mario Bros. Credits to the Newer Team for making the hack and the font that goes with it. The font's internal name is 2647 Delfino. Button, smilies and such are starting from DB80 instead of E000 in the in-game font.
Recreation of one of the pixel fonts from Beam Software/Data East's "Shadowrun" (1993) on the SNES.
This font is used on the title screen and intro cinematic. The game palette-swaps the font to a mostly white, blue, and yellow version. Only the blue version is included here.
This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
This is a clone of Shadowrun (SNES)Recreation of the ornate antialiased font from Motivetime/CSG Imagesoft's "Dragon's Lair" (1990) on the NES.
This recreation uses the special TTF+SVG format, which currently has limited support.
Only the characters present in the game's tile set have been included.
Recreation of the pixel font from Nintendo's "Super Mario Land" (1989) on the Game Boy. The same font was reused in other games like "Tetris" (1989), "Dr. Mario" (1990) and "Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3" (1994). Only the characters present in the game ROM have been included.
Update: removed a stray extra pixel in the "9".
Recreation of the pixel font from Blizzard's "Blackthorne" (aka "Blackhawk", 1994) on the SNES. Only the characters used for on-screen text in the game have been included.
Updated 05/2017 to include a few missing punctuation characters.
Pixel font recreation from Konami's classic "Gradius" (1986). A variation on the generic Nintendo font, most notable in the letters V, Y and in some of the numeral. This font includes the special characters from my standard Nintendoid 1 to make it more generally useful, and for the first time includes the strange "horizontal semicolon" used on most of the early Nintendo games' start screens.
EDIT August 2019: it appears I was off by one pixel on the "horizontal semicolon". Fixed now.
This is a clone of Nintendoid 1"This is Solid Snake. Respond, please." Recreation of the font from Konami's classic "Metal Gear" (1987) on the NES. Only the characters used in the game (and present in the ROM) have been included - if you need some missing special character, I'd suggest combining it with my Nintendoid 1 or 2.
Update 4/5/2018: fixed code point for the quotes and double exclamation mark; added the carriage return, box drawing elements and copyright symbol; removed the incorrect em-dash and vertical pipe.
Recreation of the 6px pixel font used in Nintendo's "Super Mario Kart" (1992) on the SNES. In the game, the font has a 2px spacing to account for the outline. In this recreation, I opted to just go for a 1px spacing - if you do use it outlined, make sure to add the extra pixel for authenticity.
Update Sept. 2019: added ":" and "," and fixed incorrect "Q", "V", "(" and ")"
These elegant letters appear as the original main font used in the little-known tactical SNES RPG Gemfire, or Super Royal Blood in Japan.
Ishmeria is a faithful and exact recreation of said in-game font, expanded with hundreds of diacritic variants, number variations, additional bonus characters and various dingbat symbols. And that's not everything: all Japanese hiragana and katakana characters from the original version are also included, making this one of my most extensive recreations to date.
The base font size and recommended setting for Ishmeria is 16pt and multiples of that. Use metric kerning and no additional smoothing effects for an authentic pixel performance.
Gemfire on the SNES, known as Super Royal Blood in Japan, was developed and published by Koei in 1992.
~ Ishmeria - created by Caveras after the original font used in Gemfire for the SNES. ~
