24 glyphs24%20glyphs24Just a simple Old Futhark. The oldest form of the runic alphabets, and possibly the most recognizable. There are a few letters fewer than in english, and even in the Anglo-Saxon Runes. These oldest runes also never used any punctuation, and hardly any spacing. Inguz (ng) is placed on the 'c' key, Eihwaz ('i' used as the 'i' in 'hit' and 'high', normal 'i' is long like 'meet') is placed on the 'v' key, and Thurisaz (th) [aka Thorn] is placed on the 'y' key (just beside the 't' for ease of association)Just%20a%20simple%20Old%20Futhark.%20%20The%20oldest%20form%20of%20the%20runic%20alphabets%2C%20and%20possibly%20the%20most%20recognizable.%20%20There%20are%20a%20few%20letters%20fewer%20than%20in%20english%2C%20and%20even%20in%20the%20Anglo-Saxon%20Runes.%20%20These%20oldest%20runes%20also%20never%20used%20any%20punctuation%2C%20and%20hardly%20any%20spacing.%20Inguz%20%28ng%29%20is%20placed%20on%20the%20%27c%27%20key%2C%20Eihwaz%20%28%27i%27%20used%20as%20the%20%27i%27%20in%20%27hit%27%20and%20%27high%27%2C%20normal%20%27i%27%20is%20long%20like%20%27meet%27%29%20is%20placed%20on%20the%20%27v%27%20key%2C%20and%20Thurisaz%20%28th%29%20%5Baka%20Thorn%5D%20is%20placed%20on%20the%20%27y%27%20key%20%28just%20beside%20the%20%27t%27%20for%20ease%20of%20association%29

5 downloads5%20downloads51 comments1%20comments192 glyphs92%20glyphs92A favorite of 3 usersA%20favorite%20of%203%20users3This Script is influenced by the art-style of Tibetan. Although as soon as i formed a few basic shapes and themes for a few characters, it quickly took on a shape for itself. This is still a Syllabary used to write my Conlang, Iltantu. It works exactly the same as my more recognizable Latinesque Syllabary "Iltantu-Romu". The characters are mapped in the same exact spots, and one script can be substituted for the next. It's merely a stylistic difference (as Times New Roman is to Blackletter, for instance)This%20Script%20is%20influenced%20by%20the%20art-style%20of%20Tibetan.%20%20Although%20as%20soon%20as%20i%20formed%20a%20few%20basic%20shapes%20and%20themes%20for%20a%20few%20characters%2C%20it%20quickly%20took%20on%20a%20shape%20for%20itself.%20%20This%20is%20still%20a%20Syllabary%20used%20to%20write%20my%20Conlang%2C%20Iltantu.%20%20It%20works%20exactly%20the%20same%20as%20my%20more%20recognizable%20Latinesque%20Syllabary%20%22Iltantu-Romu%22.%20%20The%20characters%20are%20mapped%20in%20the%20same%20exact%20spots%2C%20and%20one%20script%20can%20be%20substituted%20for%20the%20next.%20%20It%27s%20merely%20a%20stylistic%20difference%20%28as%20Times%20New%20Roman%20is%20to%20Blackletter%2C%20for%20instance%29

The original glyphs, however, were odd and difficult to familiarize oneself with. So I designed this form with familiar shapes and designs of a Romanesque serif font, with a few twists of my own. My style of Romanization was inspired by the Cherokee Syllabary, Although I tried not to exactly copy any glyphs that coincidentally looked similar to mine.This%20is%20a%20syllabary%20i%20developed%20for%20a%20Constructed%20Language%20of%20mine.%20%20The%20original%20glyphs%2C%20however%2C%20were%20odd%20and%20difficult%20to%20familiarize%20oneself%20with.%20%20So%20I%20designed%20this%20form%20with%20familiar%20shapes%20and%20designs%20of%20a%20Romanesque%20serif%20font%2C%20with%20a%20few%20twists%20of%20my%20own.%20%20My%20style%20of%20Romanization%20was%20inspired%20by%20the%20Cherokee%20Syllabary%2C%20Although%20I%20tried%20not%20to%20exactly%20copy%20any%20glyphs%20that%20coincidentally%20looked%20similar%20to%20mine.

Complete with letters used in Anglo-Saxon. Q represents "Ash (ae)". J and K represent "Thorn (th)" and "Eth (th)" respectively. Z represents the alternate forms of "s" used in older manuscripts. Capital Z is the "long s" and lowercase z is the "insular s". There is no V, however, F was used for the sound of V. W and G are replaced with "Wynn" and "Yogh" respectively. I created the letters with the simplest squares i could use with the smallest grid, so as to keep the file small in size and easy to load up.A%20design%20based%20off%20of%20the%20Old%20English%20Alphabet.%20%20Complete%20with%20letters%20used%20in%20Anglo-Saxon.%20Q%20represents%20%22Ash%20%28ae%29%22.%20J%20and%20K%20represent%20%22Thorn%20%28th%29%22%20and%20%22Eth%20%28th%29%22%20respectively.%20%20Z%20represents%20the%20alternate%20forms%20of%20%22s%22%20used%20in%20older%20manuscripts.%20Capital%20Z%20is%20the%20%22long%20s%22%20and%20lowercase%20z%20is%20the%20%22insular%20s%22.%20%20There%20is%20no%20V%2C%20however%2C%20F%20was%20used%20for%20the%20sound%20of%20V.%20%20W%20and%20G%20are%20replaced%20with%20%22Wynn%22%20and%20%22Yogh%22%20respectively.%20%20I%20created%20the%20letters%20with%20the%20simplest%20squares%20i%20could%20use%20with%20the%20smallest%20grid%2C%20so%20as%20to%20keep%20the%20file%20small%20in%20size%20and%20easy%20to%20load%20up.

6 downloads6%20downloads674 glyphs74%20glyphs74A favorite of 2 usersA%20favorite%20of%202%20users2This is a Non-English Alphabet I have modeled for one of my personal Conlangs, presently called "Alesati". I needed a simple Alphabetic writing system to use for type and print phonetic representations of the Language. It is naturally intended to be written with a Syllabary, which I have created. It's just damn near impossible to fit it into the normal character slots. There are just too many glyphs. So i have settled with this oversimplified Alphabet, which makes use of all basic Latin letters as places for similar letters, or placeholders for letters with entirely different pronunciations or meanings. The basic punctuation and additional symbols that are specific to the Language itself are also represented.This%20is%20a%20Non-English%20Alphabet%20I%20have%20modeled%20for%20one%20of%20my%20personal%20Conlangs%2C%20presently%20called%20%22Alesati%22.%20%20I%20needed%20a%20simple%20Alphabetic%20writing%20system%20to%20use%20for%20type%20and%20print%20phonetic%20representations%20of%20the%20Language.%20%20It%20is%20naturally%20intended%20to%20be%20written%20with%20a%20Syllabary%2C%20which%20I%20have%20created.%20%20It%27s%20just%20damn%20near%20impossible%20to%20fit%20it%20into%20the%20normal%20character%20slots.%20%20There%20are%20just%20too%20many%20glyphs.%20%20So%20i%20have%20settled%20with%20this%20oversimplified%20Alphabet%2C%20which%20makes%20use%20of%20all%20basic%20Latin%20letters%20as%20places%20for%20similar%20letters%2C%20or%20placeholders%20for%20letters%20with%20entirely%20different%20pronunciations%20or%20meanings.%20%20The%20basic%20punctuation%20and%20additional%20symbols%20that%20are%20specific%20to%20the%20Language%20itself%20are%20also%20represented.
