A new member of the Afro-family is born: Afroblack, another version of Afrobeat without any horizontal lines. Although I changed only a couple of details it has a very different feeling. Take a look at the example! I´m not sure about the numbers, probably a few of them have need to be reworked. What do you think?
This is a clone of Afrobeat Regular

Xerro. Because it started with the o, and it looks like zero, even though there's no numerals. Another faux bezier helveticaesque looking sans serif experiment. Lowercase for now.

No reference used at all. This is me drawing Paul Renner's original Futura from memory, without intending to. Actually, I was going for something more Avante Garde. It all started with the O and developed from there. The hardest letter = S. It was a real pain in the S. It was interesting afterward to compare the letters to Futura after finishing the caps.
Futura - It was like the Helvetica of 1928.
Bezziaire is an early experimental simulation of Bezier curves with FS2.0. Zooming 30% and below renders best results.
Horizontal optical compensation added for the circular glyphs, as well as baseline overshoots.

Oh yeah, this also has preliminary involvement with shasta's circle competition, which is seriously humbled by his Circle Cult.

The theme behind this piece is decay. I started by experimenting with the things that immediately spring to mind when you think of decay; crumbling walls, rotting vegetables, peeling paint...
Then I found the definition of decay in physics 'transformation of an elementary particle into two or more different particles.' and biological decay 'to break down into component parts.' After experimenting with different ways of breaking up a typeface, I came up with this. A sort of abstract representation of scientific decay.
To create the long, thin diagonal lines, I had to do it on a huge scale, filling almost 3 'screens' in height with each letter. Sadly this meant it's impossible to download the font. E F G O and Q still need a bit of work as they stand out to much.

WIP. Originally intended to not be stencil, but still looks nice.
