I live in Auckland, New Zealand. I could be accused of having curiosity a mile wide and an inch deep (something Americans are accused of). I'd be good at gameshows -- I have a smattering of knowlege in a lot of subjects. I used to be able to identify zillions of fonts at a glance but passing fashions and Father Time are fighting over which gets to defeat me first.

my first attempt, so it isn't a real font at all. in a previous life, perhaps I was a governess. I can't imagine what you'd use it for, but you never know...

A Bodoni that won't take its meds. I hope to be able to fix the horrendous leading problem. You were warned.

work in progress. I'm hopeful I can turn this into a viable typeface: it is legible even at 8pt. Maybe when more bricks become available in FontStruct I can refine it.

a silly sixties-style font. I've got a different notion for the l/c characters which I've yet to get to.

You've got to have intestinal fortitude to finish some of these wretched fonts. I'm going to file all the non-qwerty keys off my keyboard...

It's childish but I want to be one of the first to use the sexy new bricks! I'm rushing to market before everything is ready. Again.

I can see I'm on a hiding to nothing with that damned cap "S". The lower case s is -- sort of-- acceptable, but it will be a miracle if I can avoid an ugly transition between angles in the x-bar.
So near and yet so far. All the cap single bowled letters could do with a more curvaceous aspect. If I manage to beat the "S" into shape I might have to take on the challenge.
Talk about a sucker for punishment. This is a clone

A cross-dressing Compacta. It seems every time a design with a gazillion bricks fails to save (slantfest)I just have to knock off one that uses as few bricks as I can manage. So far both of these "harrumph" reactions have turned out pretty well.
Is this telling me something....?

This is half-baked, but hey. I'm (reluctantly) going to have to forego some of those pesky diagonals because they're looking just a shade on the wrong side of weird. Particularly in the caps.

Can't decide about that lower-case "s". I might try alternate cap M, W and N using diagonals but now my eyeses are telling me enough.

Part way through the "antiquing" process. If I'm overcome with a rash of enthusiasm I'll do alternate glyphs for some of the obvious candidates.

I derive a lot of amusement extracting round forms from straight sections. Don't ask me why.
