I think this version is better: changing the squared corners makes the font more solid... But here is the great question: the first (zibernia), the new (zibernia blk) or both twins? The great dilemma once again. Help/opinions are welcoming.

Very nice work elmoyenique. You might try rounding the corner of the "g" descender where it connects to the upper part.
Comment by aphoria 4th may 2011
"g" rounded, master. Grateful I work.

@aphoria: Did you mean rounding the g’s link? I agree with this feedback, so correct me if I am wrong.

@elmo: I also agree you have improved the sturdiness and overall effect of zibernia by going with chunky slab terminals. I was digging this feature on your new g. All good thoughts!

The link is not totally resolved in its semi-pixelated form (when paired with square terminal). Somehow it works out better for me with the current quarter-round terminal, so keep it just like it is if no other solution arises. :)

Yes, I meant the link. Sorry for the haziness of my terms. :)

Now I'm not sure what elmo actually changed on the g?

If I remember correctly, the lower-right brick which terminates the loop (now a “quarter round” brick) started out as a full square – one of those cool chunky slab terminals.

@aphoria and @will.i.ૐ: Thanks, masters. I've changed some glyphs (the controversial "g", "Y", "y" and some others) and I think the font looks better. I'm waiting for your opinion very grateful, please.

Love the new g. Less is more! :)

New Y: great!
New y: good choice to remove the terminal, though I am convinced it looks even better to drop the bottom of the counter to the baseline.

I cloned.

Allow me to offer some pointers.

1. Avoid 2×2 filter unless there's a real need for it. This fs doesn't seem to need it.

2. If you have to use 2×2 filter, use the lower-left quarter square brick as your default brick. It works just like a full square brick in a 1×1 filter.

3. Make sure your brick number 1 is the full square or the lower-left quarter square brick. In most fonts you will need to use this brick more than any other brick and pressing 1 on the keyboard will give you a quick access to it.

4. Some time ago, I asked Rob Meek for a special favor which he granted. There is an undocumented shortcut key for the pointer. The default is P, but at my request, he assigned the Q key to the pointer as well. It was super cool of him to do so. The benefit of having Q as the pointer is that my left hand has all the shortcuts I need most of the time. Q A (Select All), E (Eraser), Z (Undo), S (Save), X (Cut), C (Copy), V (Paste), R (Rectangle), Y (Redo) and 1 (Load brick number 1). Also Shift+G (Group), Shift+H (Flip Horizontal), Shift+V (Flip Vertical), and Shift+R (Rotate).

Finally, some glyphic suggestions.
And apologies for the un-solicited advice.

Ohhh...I like thalamic's g. Try it as an alternate so we can compare.
Comment by aphoria 6th may 2011
@aphoria: Thanks, I like a lot the new "g".
@thalamic: Thank you very much for your comments. You propose me just a new font and I like it! I'll trying to fstruct it soon.

Used by my son on the cover for a high school work (I've changed the "o"s for three cogwheels).
