heaven. even if not used for kirigami, this makes for a very interesting and attractive font. great job.
Great font, great idea and great sample 10/10
Congratulations! FontStruct Staff have deemed your FontStruction worthy of special mention. “Budino Kiri” is now a Top Pick.
Below is an diagram showing how to cut and fold the printed letters to get the kirigami text.
Haha, awesome... I wanted to do the exact same thing right after publishing Punched Out, but then saved it for later to not throw out all the folding ideas at the same time. As always a bad idea; I should have known somebody will come up with that idea sooner or later. I'm very glad it's you though, that makes sure it's an amazing execution with a super stylish typeface that really fits the concept. ;)
Stunning samples, also on your blog!
Cutting and folding the letters for sure reminded me when I built the E from your Punched Out set.
Anyway I'm curious about your kirigami font, even if the concept behind may be similar, the design for sure is different. I hope you decide to share it sooner or later!
Packed with dynamic tension, Uptake is an exciting and characterful but also eminently usable sans.
