I like it! I think a version that has the robot face capitals and the same thing without the faces for lower case would be more useful.

although similar, i think Likable has it's own charm. i think we veterans need to be careful about this whole 'policing fonts' mindset, so as not to discourage and/or embarrass newbies, especially when no subterfuge was necessarily intended. i would say to swan, please re-share you wonderful font. it was very delightful to behold :)

I, too, hope Swan continues to design fonts, as the numbers were a fun and logical addition to the original set, and I know there was no malicious intent. I hope it re-shared as well.

No offense nor embarrassment was meant in my post, either; I am certainly the last person who would or should be "policing" anything. As I've barely had an original thought for any of my own FontStructions [I think maybe only one of mine is remotely "original", and even then, not so much], I freely acknowledge the source for each.

However, in happening to notice the similarities between "Likable" and "Bit Bot", there was a definite lack of attribution to dczyz's design. I don't know if "Bit Bot" is dczyz's original design or not, but shouldn't others be given credit if they inspire or their fonts are enhanced?

In past iterations of FontStruct, the only way to copy a font was to (a) clone it (if the author allowed), or (b) re-draw it brick by brick -- which was pretty painstaking, depending on how complex the design.

Now, one can merely copy-and-paste a cloned font from one FontStruct window -- letter by letter -- into another brand-new FontStruct window. While this is a tremendously powerful and time-saving design tool, it can also be pretty dangerous, too: allowing for any original references or attributions to be completely by-passed...

EDIT: Ok, I'm dumb. I thought these comments were all directed at me. Uh... actually, I'm curious to see this Likable font... does anyone have an image of it?

It appears Swan has moved it back to private, rendering the font page as "unsearchable".

I had the same problem when I tried to read her response to my initial comment -- I kept getting the FontStruct sign-in page instead...

dczyz, I like your font too. I hadn't seen in before. Not too sure about the O though, it just seems a little sloppy to me.

As for Likable by Swan. I don't think she was intentionally not giving credit. I think she just hadn't really thought about it. Her English isn't that great and she is new to this so I can understand her not thinking about that and then being embarrassed about it. I hope she shares it again.
