The most famous version of this font is Tom C. Lai's "Steelwolf Medium". Steelwolf Medium was based on the Terminator 2 logotype, and has been around since 1992.
Steelwolf Medium at TLai Enterprises
A booleg copy of Steelfwolf Medium from 1993 named "Terminator Two" (filename: terminat.ttf) strips all of the shareware info, instead referencing "Converted by ALLTYPE" in both the version and copyright/creator sections.
Expert Software's "2000 Fantastic Fonts" has a version named "Nasty" (filename: EX0837.ttf) from 1994.
@airwolf-themes: Thank you for the detailed information. I've come across most of these with my research. It was also used in several Toyota ads (here are some examples).
PBIO supports Eth and Thorn, Why not yours?
@Brynda I don't usually do that many extra characters since I'm not so familiar with all the foreign letters, and I'm just doing fonts for fun and for free. I may add them later.
This is very good work, and probably the most accurate Terminator font I've seen among the free varieties. The most popular one is probably Terminator Real NFI, but the angles on letters like the slanted As are too long. Yours looks to be much more on point - thanks a ton! =)
may this font be used for commercial use?
@laudig Yes, there's an updated version on DaFont (although I'm planning on making a newer version)
Major update: Completely redrawn with much better proportions, plus kerning for Basic Latin.
Wow, that looks very good... I have to say that this could be one of the most bestest futuristic fonts I've ever seen in my life. Way to go on the Top Pick.
