Description:
this is the first time that a typeface was an easy task and I did not have to make any compromises. except for the 'x' maybe... not sure about the name, though. it's a bit of a corny joke and I will probably change it once I come up with something sensible. I'm also going to add the full extended latin set once I get good comments ;-) (seems like it :-D, working on it...) Update: Thanks to LexKominek for the ink trap hint. Up-Update: Thanks to will.i.ૐ for the 'x'.

Excellent stuff. Nice balance between all the letters.

nice slab font

Lovely slab. Q's tail could be more attached and I'm not really sure about Kk, but it is still a really AWESOME font!! :D
I like the name too hahahahaha...

I liked this so much, I created a subtle variation with ink traps: http://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/385481

Good job!

Beautifully realized. Add a "body" tag... this is completely useable. Also my vote for best FS name.

thank you very much.

@3moDuDe: I wasn't quite sure about the ks either, but after a couple of variations I was most satisfied with these...
@Lex: thanks for the hint! mind if I do the same? since I had the name idea the stupid song goes around in my head :-D
@fugitiveglue: alright then, I'll stick to the corny name ;-)

HEY! that's a very nice one.
Love it right away. Result look like a vector font.

I rest my case. Well DONE, layne!

@fugitiveglue

Thanks. I must say, now that I see it like this, I think that it does not work so well as a body typeface. What works fine in larger size can be a bit distracting in smaller size.

Now since the original has traps, I'll delete mine.

I took a closer look to see what more might be done with the ‘x’ and believe I have a solution. The highlighted composite can be flipped vertically and horizontally and four of them arranged to make this glyph as fresh and clean as all the rest. Trapping was a keen suggestion, Lex.

Nice job, Alexander!

@LexKominek: Thanks very much again.

@will.i.ૐ: Thanks a lot. I did as you suggested, although the result looks a bit different in my case (see below). But I guess there are always several ways to the same result and that's what's so great about FS.

Your solution maybe took a few more click, but I think it’s twice as nice!

This is a great font. Not to be naggy or anything, but in the tags, it says 'Slap' instead of 'Slab'. If this was intended, ignore my post. I'm just trying to be helpful.

thanks, how embarassing... but now you mentioned it, I thought about not changing it for a while :-D

oh, and great name. great play on words. if you hadn't used it, someone eventually would have. or should have :)

Very nice font!

Have you seen the one shown below? It's very different from yours, of course, but the similar name is probably not too surprising. :)

Well, that didn't help much, did it? The font is called I Shot The Serif by Oscar Barda. It's available as shareware at dafont.com.

Hey, great! I didn't know that. But as funk_king said: someone had to come up with that name eventually.
