This is an exercise to explore potential combinations of bricks to get the most pleasing curves close to Bezier-based fonts. The result, well, not tremendously original in shape, but demonstrates the power of FS. Long live the Brick!

Thank you for your nice comments. This font came somewhat unexpected.
I was experimenting with filter settings and brick combinations to get better curves for a Cyrillic set. The whole project went astray, as I discovered (or maybe rediscovered) a combination, what became the backbone of O,E,S,C,3,8 etc.. Yes, the filters are 2:2. I set the contrast ratio between the horizontal and vertical strokes to 1:2, and made the glyphs a bit wider to get the most out of the luscious curves. The letters with diagonal strokes were a real challenge. I'm still not happy with the V,W,Z, but at least I've managed to conceal the limitations of bricks.
As I refered to in the Description, I am fully aware of the clone-like nature of this design. It combines the most overused elements from half a dozen fonts, and as such it may not be the most valuable piece in my fontfolio. However, I always strived to make fonts you could not distinguish from the ones made by Bezier-tools. Andromeda Strain is a big step toward that direction, and it could show the "can-do" attitude to prospective fontstructors.
very cool and effective. my only comment, in general, is that i want you to display your work that you have recently made private. perhaps a future enhancement by the fs staff will allow us to share our work, but also allow us to choose whether to allow voting or not :) great job.
@CaptianOlimar: Thank you for your praising words, and the nice demo pic. Yes, it looks good, but it's not very original. You can read my self-deprecating comment above.

10 stars! Period. Granted a good comment, and a download. You are so good. :)
- Nice belt!
Accidentally read it as "Andromeda Satin."
