I like the character design, however V and U look too similar to me.

I agree, they are too similar; while the upper left serifs lend some uniformity to the letters, when you only have a width of 5 pixels, losing one of those pixels certainly limits the letter-form design for similar-shaped characters...

This font is a little on the "ugly" side for my tastes, but it was certainly unique enough to add to the collection. I actually like the font from Sinistar better:
