Gob Pixi is an amalgamation of different experiments with colour, display type and visual effects throughout the years of working with a comfortable, personal design palette.

Having been obsessed with grain textures and primary + secondary colours throughout the start of 2020s, I was moved to translate that into typography after seeing Kilotype's Lofi Forest "fizzy-fying" an otherwise sharp-looking Roman/Serif.

Also, I have worked on a type project that got me to layer different coloured shadows and highlights above each other, so this is my attempt at translating that effect onto another typeface that I've shelved for quite a while now. (I happened to come up with something similar to Get Yourself Connected by chance and didn't know what to make do with it.)

exercise, inspired by trains

A typeface that experimented with the idea of using an arc, based on the y=1/x equation. I took from Bauhaus and constructivist design principles, that focused on minimalist, geometric shapes, to reproduce a form that rejects ornamentation in favor of pure visual logic. I live in a place where constraints on political power, freedom of speech exist. In small ways, this font is an expression of how one can use restrictions and constrains to shift things in a different perspective, creating questions of traditional legibility hierarchies while embracing the aesthetics of systematic modularity.

Codex Terribilis draws inspiration from handwritten manuscripts and codices with some complementary symbols (alchemical, zodiac signs, etc).

Uppercase and lowercase letters interact in playful and sometimes unexpected ways. For that I had to omit bits of the uppercase D, H, M, and Z. These can be added back by typing, respectively: ); |; |; and \.

I've done a lot of kerning already but it feels endless so I've given up ever finishing.
