For now, these nudges are in quarter square increments.<\/p>\n<p>There are menu commands for this (Menu &gt; Modify &gt; Nudge) which will become active once you&#8217;ve made a selection, but most people will probably find the keyboard shortcuts easier (hold \u00a0down shift and then use the arrow keys).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/fontstruct.com\/news\/uploads\/2014\/05\/more_nudging.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2637\" alt=\"more_nudging\" src=\"http:\/\/fontstruct.com\/news\/uploads\/2014\/05\/more_nudging.png\" width=\"480\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I think this will open up a whole new world of exciting possibilities for the endlessly inventive FontStruct community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Solving the Macaroni Conundrum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even before the launch of FontStruct I was aware of the limitations of shapes such as the \u201cmacaroni\u201d bricks on the grid. When building with them, you are limited in the ways you can connect &#8211; you can only ever \u201cturn\u201d in one direction. Such bricks demand some freedom from the grid.
