MIKITA - A "Chrome Script" style font based on the "Makita" logo type.

It is a simple 'semi' connected script, with only the basic character set. I don't feel like this requires having tons of typographic features. It is just aimed at writing simple things in this script style.

a little something I had in my head for quite a while already, finally decided to try and make it in Fontstruct.

No kerning done right now, but maybe some time later I'll do it. though even without the kerning it looks nice in my opinion.

Feel free to clone and see how it was done. (some glyphs like { are quite messy though)

also may redo some glyphs in the future.

In my opinion, marker fonts are quite fun to make. This one reminds me of Salem! and Swash Buckle, by architaraz and laynecom. Thanks and enjoy!

I had wanted to come up with a cursive-styled font using only rather basic lines and curves, so this is what I came up with. While it's not a "proper" cursive (not many character pairings have a traditional flow), it does have some cursive-style mannerisms. Enjoy! UPDATES: * 2014.05.30: To take advantage of FontStruct's new nudge feature, all glyphs with curved tops and bottoms have been adjusted. * 2013.05.07: Altered the positioning of the superscript 1, 2, and 3; realigned the already esiting 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 fraction characters; added new fraction characters; added complete set of numeric superscript and subscript characters; modified the "f combination" ligatures for more consistency. * 2013.05.20: The tildes have been corrected. I don't know why, but they somehow looked like backwards Ns instead of what they should look like. Additionally, I made a small alteration to the lowercase V character to make it look equally uniform to the other lowercase characters. * 2013.05.26: Added some letterlike characters to the mix. * 2013.05.28: More edits, but this time, I've gone ahead and added a few touches to make most -- not all -- of the lowercase letters flow into each other. I was flirting with the concept of having the bars of the lowercase Ts linked to the other lowercase characters, but thought against it (especially since I'm planning on expanding the character set even further). * 2013.06.04: Slight touch-ups. Slight alterations made to the Ç (uppercase C cedilla) and ç (lowercase c cedilla). Added ligatures for "dz", "ij", "lj", and "nj", as well as some new currency symbols. Moved the Won sign into the appropriate position.

+++work in progress+++ The hardest one was "z" until i saw theres a cool solution made out of "a" :D However this in NOT inspired by 60ies, i was more thinking about Tattoo Art, or some kind of a slashing Samurai thingy... Thats maybe why i changed the name from "Dark Matter" to "Dark Shogun"

This is my first typeface, it is based around the theme of "fluid". I was initially inspired by foreign alphabets/symbols/logograms. In particular, Arabic characters in a Chinese calligraphic style. While this start point could have lead to more experimental outcomes, I have chosen to keep the look simple so that it would be more versatile.

Another marker-style experiment, this time with inktraps. The grid size makes for many difficulties, so some characters could be better (S, Z, e, x, etc.). Suggestions are very welcome for these glyphs, or any others. Thanks and enjoy!

1/30/15 The old, un-beautiful e and 7 have been fixed. Still looking for a solution for the 2. Also added Œ and œ. V1.2

A stencil script font, my second ScriptComp entry. For a connected space, use the low line (_). / and \ are waves that connect with the letters, and the circumflex (^) is a high line. For an automatic fl ligature, use f\.

07/30/13-08/02/13 I went through and adjusted some characters, and I added more punctuation. V1.1.0
12/16/13 I've changed some glyphs for legibility, as well as a and g. Also added accents. V1.2.0

A small-grid handwritten font. This has lots and lots of faux-curves, thus using more than 180 different bricks and composites.
