Welp, I had to make something like this sooner or later... :^)
Like most of my pixel fonts, this was made at the smallest legible size I could manage, so that it could be useful even to small-canvas pixel artists.
More glyphs later, perhaps? Depends on the use I find for this in my games (and your comments).
Original size = 26px (Use multiples of 19.5pt for pixel perfection)
The name is inspired by Slab City, California. Search that name on Youtube for some interesting documentaries and such!
My first drawings of these letters were from freeze frames of martial arts films. I explored the idea of a human body posed, ready to fight an opponent, essentially becoming 'dangerous' letters - this was the key word I chose. These were then refined using the FontStruct userface into this blocky style and incoparating elements from Roman capitals.
26 August: basic Latin added!
This is a clone of SlabRandon 1.1The outline version of "Slab Serif 100". Sizes are as the parent font so this version can be used with the parent and other versions. Work in progress.
This is a cloneThe thickness of the horizontals now matches the verticals and diagonals (doesn't apply to small punctuation and some symbols). Note the new "q" which suits the weight of the lines.
This is a cloneSlab Serif 300 as a stencil font. Bridges on the UC are vertical, on the LC horizontal. Bridges on numbers, symbols, punctuation are mostly vertical.
This is a clone of Slab Serif 300This font draft was created with the theme of massive, I wanted to create something that looked physically imposing and noticeable. To create the structure, I looked at buildings and cityscapes around the busiest parts of Bristol City and wanted to play with perspective as if the viewer was standing beneath a building and looking up at it, I ended up making a font that reflected the uniformity and scale of buildings.

3x3 slab serif. This is based on Wallerton, Anachronistic Gunslinger, an IRC-based "TV show" which I used to write and produce. All the characters in the show were my AIs pretending they were cowboys.
Well, I managed to successfully produce a lowercase for this one!
Recommended: Use with kerning.
Clone of zlabby eYe/FS by elmoyenique (initial concept & awesome design, all uppercase characters, limited punctuation).
My contribution to this font project (this derivative font with the reserved name "Slabie") is to add a lowercase characters letterset and add more punctuation - modified by Doug Peters of Symbiotic Design (2018).
If you like/use it, we would appreciate credit for our contributions to the font design.
