Recreation of the pixel font used in Sega's "Wonder Boy" (1987) on the Master System. Slightly expanded, but for the most part only the characters present in the game ROM have been included.
Updated 2 December 2018: referring back to the game ROM, corrected the "Q", "K", "J", "X", "/", comma, heart, "7" (swapping it for the one used in game, rather than on the title screen), and added the missing "!" and dash/minus. Also included the two lowercase "a" and "e" characters used for "escape" on the title screen.
Recreation of the pixel font used in Interplay's classic "Star Trek: 25th Anniversary" (1992) adventure game on the PC. It's mostly monospaced, with the exception of the unusual &, © and ® used on the splash screen and the ß from the German version. Also included are the original (fairly ugly, admittedly) extended characters from the German and French version.
This font was created around the theme of repetition, it was inspired by Art Deco design and how repetition and pattern aren't just pointless ornaments but fundamental to the structure of the font. I have been able to reach this stage after 5 weeks of continuous development, sketching and experimentation which I focused around trying to create a bridge between 2D and 3D fonts. Built up of a single repeated component this font is not suitable or made for large amounts of text, but instead has been created to highlight the strength and complexity of each individual letter. http://oliver-james-town.blogspot.co.uk
