I came up with an idea to combine art deco with futuristic techno style. The effect is seen above, although this is a variation on the original. This one comes in italics and only the italic version joins the LDR family. The original needs to be redone in hi-res, it's gonna take me a while. It's much easier to work with high resolution on angular (anything blocky, with fair amount of angles) fonts, surprisingly, in some cases it can even take less time and everything is alright with spacing.
LC only, "F"'s and "E"'s are a bit different. Also some letters in the lowercase are open. Enjoy, second font tonight.

The font Flomotion is the outcome to my first semester at UWE, studying Graphic Design. The task was to create a full typeface on the font building website, fontstruct.com. The final design had to relate to a chosen theme, my chosen theme for this project was Motion in which I pursued the subject of optical illusions. I liked the idea of trying to create a false sense of movement with a font, taking inspiration from existing optical illusions with the same effect. This then led me to look at the 'Op' art movement of the 1960's, in particular the extensive work of Bridget Riley. Her use of black and white line giving the illusion of depth had a big influence on my work and I think my final design reflects this.

Freestyle is not a usual font, as you see. The concept was inspired by the "How very Tokyo"-poster by Spin (I posted it in the comments). I liked the idea of cutting every letter into pieces so it looks artistic but is still readable.
Freestyle consists of three parts: the whole letter at the top and in the middle/at the bottom there are parts of it, cut vertically.
Upper- and Lowercase are different. Under construction, more glyphs to come. This can be used e.g. for posters or magazine layouts. What do you think about this experiment?
