A tribute to Belgian modernist artist "Jozef Peeters" (Antwerp, 1895 - 1960).

He is probably best known for contributions to legendary Belgian avant garde magazines "Het Overzicht" and "DeDriekhoek".

The alphabet I made is based on the letters seen on the folder art for his 1921 linocut portofolio.

(I made use of a couple of lower case letters to make slight variations similar as seen on the original artwork but most lower case are simply copied from the upper case letters.)

Experimental 24-segment display or massive monochrome Mondrian matrix. Pixel compatible!

The thinking behind this one was that with incongruously sized segments arranged in the proper way, I would create a design which was effectively 5x5, but which accomodated more glyphs than 5x5 usually does. Negative space is incorporated into the structure of many glyphs, though not enough to classify this as an IVO design.

"Qualtron" is the name of an imaginary entity that a friend believed in - a being meant to represent the result of "a mathematical equation that can rule the universe". I didn't inquire further about it... :D

1. Segments can have interior length/width of 2 or 5.

2. The central 2x2 square must always remain open.

3. Square bricks and 90-degree angles only.

Scifi font based on the Tesla Motors storefront. I wondered what a full font set based on that theme might look like. All caps, wide font, with open design and strong horizontal lines. This is my first font and I'm going to go ahead and publish it as it's pretty much done, but I might tweak it some as things go on. A typeface that evolved from my entry for FontOut 4. Tech, italic, awesome.

First experiment with my beloved katakana, it means that I may have caused some technical mistakes here and there, but overall I'm happy with the result. Katakana matches futuristic style a lot and provides many ways to play with letters.

I'm really proud of this one, it was a pretty huge challenge, because I started building on a very small grid. Making a oblique, techno font (using 4x1 composites), with decent spacing and rich character set could be painful even in high resolution. Although sometimes I, or FontStructor did not keep pace (see the Yen symbol). Gosh, why there are no

bricks!?

There's a tiny "K Graveyard" in Extended Latin A, somewhere around K-like characters, there's also a different version of nine. Please take a look there and tell me if one of these K's is better than K that I decided to use. Any other suggestions are very, very welcome.

So let me give you all a...

It's the official release day for the highly anticipated Halo:Reach video game on the XBox360! A great excuse to build a Halo related fontstruction. This one was inspired by two Halo 3 multi-player game maps featuring Spartan related technology: Citadel and Guardian. The patterned techno-motif textures on the architecture in these maps are impressively adorned everywhere. It's hard not to be inspired. The design just came about after messing around with some shapes yesterday. The alternates in the lowercase are actually the first iteration of the design, updates are in the uppercase. Dedicated to my son who introduced me to the amazing Halo universe and encourages my love-hate relationship with the XBox360. He kills me. It's what he does. Clone of FS Mini which started as an alternative with UC & filter set at 2 to gain half brick positions. I changed the filter to 1.78 after not being satisfied with it & got amazed by the possibilities. Even when I came to some brick limitations I found myself redesigning some glyphs to abuse~~them~~ of these new found possibilities & maintain a certain harmony within the whole set.This is a clone of FS Mini
