a square typeface intened to be used for single words, small phrases or for brand names and logos. However i feel it does have a nice textural look when used for large bodies of text. My first published type of Fontstruct. Any feedback would be very much appreciated.
Primary text font used in the menus of Ericsson and early Sony Ericsson phones. Recreated from display pictures of the Ericsson A2618s.
Includes ASCII, Latin-1 Supplement, basic Cyrillic and Greek alphabets, and a few miscellaneous characters, more may be added later. Some glyphs are shown as squares because they are missing on the phone itself.
Note that on some Ericsson phones, the display's pixel aspect ratio is taller than a square, so the font looks taller. This recreation uses a 1:1 pixel aspect ratio.
This font consists of three basic shapes: square, quarter circle and triangle. When I first tried to make this font, I was deeply attracted by the shape of the letter O. I found the counter to be a fascinating shape which led me to create the whole alphabet.
When I designed the letter A, I realised that it looked like a circus tent. But after more and more letters were designed, especially the letter G, I gradually found that the font was beginning to look like a toy made from interlocking triangles – a popular toy in Chinese middle schools. It can be bent into many different shapes.
