doesn't use anything new, but with all the energy on the site today, i got motivated to finish something :) i guess this is a multi-inline, pseudo-stencil-ish, art deco-ish type of font.

Font created for a project at UWE, my key word was "LOUD" . I used the idea to create the illusion of the type, I recorded myself saying pronouncing each letter then used the shape of the soundwave generated to create the form, each letter is different and is like a cutout held in front of an image of that letters soundwave.

This typeface is based on the theme of "Vibration". From the beginning I wanted to create a unique design, looking at sound I decided to use my voice as the starting point. After recording myself pronouncing the alphabet and uploading it to a sound editor I looked at the different shapes and patterns it created. This was my voice that was unique to me and was the inspiration for the typeface. I then researched fonts and looked at bold, chunky designs which could hold the pattern without taking too much away from the letter form as it was important to me that my design was still legible. I decided to use the corresponding sound with the letter (i.e. the A has my pronunciation of the letter running through it)making it different from anything I have seen before. In this typeface I have tried to represent a noise without using soundwaves.

Based on the word Thunderous, this font represents a storm. The pointy edges of the letters and their disformed shape are supposed to represent the loud and violent noise made by thunder. The lightning is a mean to show the activity of the sky during a storm but it's also a way to make the link between the font and the storm.

The font is designed for attention grabbing headers.

There are 3 other versions of this font: Thunderstorm Inverse, ThunderStorm Black and ThunderStorm Mix.

As there are three diffrent phases in a storm, loud, light and calm, I tried to represent those three states by combining diffrent letterforms to make it looks even more like a storm.

The font is designed for attention grabbing headers.

Mltng Pnt is a typeface that took form from the word destructive. It's aim is to be an illustrative typeface that focuses on the destruction of the natural letter form. This process creates a lot of visual noise, distorting the viewers vision and adding to this sense of destruction on a more palpable level. The figures were inspired by melting butter, hence the name 'Mltng Pnt' (melting point). This name also suggests a point of no return, capitalising on the theme of destruction.
