a little something I had in my head for quite a while already, finally decided to try and make it in Fontstruct.
No kerning done right now, but maybe some time later I'll do it. though even without the kerning it looks nice in my opinion.
Feel free to clone and see how it was done. (some glyphs like { are quite messy though)
also may redo some glyphs in the future.
UPDATE: cyrillic done
LEOPOLD PRO (Serif-Regular) — Modern geometric condensed slab-serif
════════════════════════════════════
This font is the second style instance for the newly launched "Leopold Pro" typeface family, and is kicking off this new family of fonts.
The first one came as a minimalist, geometric sans serif style, this second font adds a serif style variation to the family. Both the "sans-regular" and "serif-regular" styles have identical visual properties for size and weight to allow seamless combination of the two, and as the name already suggests, represent the "Regular" style for the family.
Motivation for this was to craft a slab-serif style for the original geometric letterforms that has strong antique mechanistic qualities to add somewhat of a typewriter characteristic.
The relaxed optical proportion, short unbracketed serifs and open spacing results in clean and pleasant to look at text. Largely thanks to these properties it is still relatively legible in terms of a slab-serif style.
The other style can be found here:
LEOPOLD PRO (Sans-Regular)
Two additional extra "Light" and "Bold" weight classess are also currently in development, both remain works in progress for now, but are expected to be included in the future.
I hope y'all like it so far,
Cheers

════════════════════════════════════
This is a minimalist, geometric sans serif font with medium contrast and a strong compressed look. The modern condensed forms make up an elegant and classy looking font.
The overall design is a mixture of contemporary design with antique inspired elements.

This is a cloneRemember that time in the future now where we would blame immigrants for taking our jobs, and nobody talked about how robots can now execute many repetitive industrial manufacturing tasks, do gymnastics, disarm bombs, while working 24/7 without breaks, health insurance or labor unions, and how cars/drones could drive themselves with artificial intelligence that improves daily? That was the good ol' day. Now robots can perform surgical procedures. That video of a robot carefully removing the skin off of a grape was awesome. 4 out of 5 medical robots prefer the G1 Prone font for their personal visual linguistic representation due to its surgical precision and linear execution. The future of TeleRobotic medicine, or any laborious human endeavor, will be in the hands of our cold, unfeeling robot overlords. =)
This is a cloneAn experimental design using 1/8 weight lines alongside 1/16 ones. The 1/8 lines are the smallest that can be accurately nudged. Centering them is still a problem at times, and I need a few impossible composites to perfect the glyphs ABEFHKQRXYijkx34789, but overall I'm quite fond of how this doodle turned out.
I think I could use some intensive compositing to get rid of the central dividing line in glyphs like A and H. I'll give it a try when I can.
Something that I made. Part of the Roto Family.
