This is my first fontstruction, based on the theme of 'sharp'. In early development stages I looked at brambles and attempted to create a typeface that seemed naturally pointed, as opposed to industrially sharp. Also took cues from modern death metal typography. Currently no numbers or lower case due to time constraints. Any feedback would be appreciated! This is a clone

Font based on the ergonomics of a knife. Because of the wide nature of the font, its best to use it on a large scale.

This font was designed based on construction and metal structures found in bristol. It is curved but still quite heavy in form.

A project dealing with the subject of order for UWE's communicating with words project at degree graphic design. Inspiration coming from the traffic system, in particular the way that junctions have been designed to direct traffic and keep order at the same time.

A typeface created as part of our first project on the Graphic Design course at UWE. The project was to centre a typeface around a theme and to create the typeface on Fontstruct. My chosen theme was Motion. I chose to use the motion of water for the basis of my project and used its properties to distort and disfigure popular serif typefaces. After many experiments with baths, basins and trips to the local fountains Alphawet was created.

Based on the theme of "order" my typeface is inspired by the aspects I have found within the structure of a tool such as, hinges and bolts. I got this idea when looking at the order involved in construction. A lot of adjustments are needed including the spacing. Any comments, suggestions or constructive criticism would be great!

My first FontStruction through UWE, based on the keyword 'squishy'. Initially, my research consisted of squishy items, producing very illustrative, specific results. However, I decided to experiment by folding printed letters. From this, I wanted to find a way to express tension created within letterforms and concluded with 'Discordion', to create such a disagreement between serifs and interior letter structure. This is a clone of Discordion Outline

This font was based around the theme 'Messy'.
I took inspiration from the imperfect calligraphy of Gemma O'Brien.
I like the way her letterforms seem like they've been drawn out quickly and I tried to recreate this in Fontstruct.
Another thing I looked at was how some artists used anything as a pen, so for this I tried a few unconventional things to create patchy looking type.
I ended up using an old rubber brake pad for a bicycle, I think this looked nice because of its shape and rigidity.
I think this embodies my theme well because it has the sketchy marks and generally untidy qualities. This is a clone
