Social Shadow has been constructed using the shadows of household cutlery from spoons to scissors, knives to bottle openers. The font is based around the theme 'gregarious', (of a person) fond of company, (of an animal) living in flocks/organised communities. The use of cutlery represents the daily ritual we perfom in our 'organised communities', a great social activity. The use of the shadow reminds us that all is only temporary.
Shadows styled font.
Charted from historic French cross stitch book Maison Sajou Miniature Album no. 6. The M, N, X and Z have been modified from the original and the W added. The pattern was found at http://patternmakercharts.blogspot.com/2009/12/sajou-no-6.html
Pop Shadow was inspired by the exciting forms and shapes created by LED lights. References include electronic billboards and theater signs that utilize large bright dots. The numerous fades add depth and help put the "pop" in Pop Shadow.
This is a cloneFor this Fontstruct project, I decided to look at the word malnourished. Looking at all aspects that surround the meaning of the word , the lack of proper nutrition caused by not having enough to eat or not consuming the right things for whatever reasons. I decided to look at the fashion industry, looking into what people put themselves through to become the “perfect” size and that the expectation for this image is growing. My font represents this by showing the main spotlight on the front letter which is tall and skinny followed by the reality displayed in the shadow which is a bigger more “healthy” letter , showing the two extremes in a whole typeface.
This is one of the ways I've always wanted to use layering in Fontstruct. Finally, it's possible :) Just a quick font to test the new feature - a grey shadow (ligh source from left to right) that is cast on inner white space of the letters.
P.S. I won't be able to sleep today, so many ideas to test... Thank you, Rob!
Aloe is a font based on shadows and geometry. The idea is to create the illusion of depth within the font. The concept all stems from diligence, at first I thought about the characteristics a diligent person has and wanted to represent this in a font.
