Collection of linear-interpolated circle attempts, or simply faux-Bezier circles and other curvature related materials.
This toolset basically is collection of pre-made fake circles and curves in numerous different sizes to make ones workflow easier. It could also simply serve as a educative tool that demonstrates the basic FontStruct technique used for making fake curves and circles.
Initially I intended this to be much more complete, but it is simply too much work, and would take forever to get published at once.
Please don't expect this to be perfect, a lot gets fairly close to the "real-deal".
But keep in mind that they remain raw approximations of their true Bezier counterparts. I will try to improve whatever is needed as time progresses, as well as most likely add more stuff.

STF_DERBY - Condensed Geometric Neo-Grotesk sans.
The idea was to make a typeface design that would suit small point size body style typography.
■ Multilingual support (91 languages)
■ Partial kerning WIP (6739 Pairs and counting)
==============================================
The fontstruction is a Faux Bezier style approach, to allow the most freedom in shaping the different letterforms and curves.
Font sample is best viewed at 2x pixel size or above for a sharp result.
I hope you like it!
Work in progress
A cursive handwriting inspired style work.
Its a medium size faux-Bezier (fake curve) style approach with somewhat rough shaped outlines. I am having a serious hard time comming up with a uppercase set. Publishing it in this early stage I kind of hope to get some suggestions that might refreh my perspective on it.
Therefor I am curious about what you guys think so far...
Cheers
STF_Littera Textualis Emergo - A formal Gothic minuscule script.
It is finally done!
It took me around 3 full days of design work and polishing.
The major character design part is about done, and I probably will only add some additional extra ligatures and special characters.
The design approach is a large grid Faux Bezier style to get the most out of custom shaping Top/bottom grid scale is a total of 71 bricks with ascenders and descenders included.
I have done a whole lot of finalizing background work already, and many pairs have been kerned already, but not everything was done yet, this is going to be completed within the next few days.

- Littera Textualis Emergo -
A formal Gothic minuscule that was inspired by Latin bookhand script, better known as 'Textualis'. This script was popular between the 12th & 16th century. Basically Those that would have been used for the main text of Latin books.

A more detailed description is has been written down in a sample image posted in the comment section bellow.
I hope y'all like it as much as I do.

This is a clone of STF_SCRIPTORIUM (SHADOW)GEO-PROTESQUE - Geometric grotesque typeface
This time I did a attempt to make a typical super rounded geometric grotesque typeface. Which is a very popular style for headline and display text. Although I tried to make a contemporary looking typeface, I kind of remained faithful to plain geometry. This font style is far from unique and could somewhat be compared with that of typefaces such as HAUS Sans, TT Norms and LL Circular
(3 great commercial pro fonts that were made by some great other designers!)
===========================================
One of the most important rules for this font was to have near perfect circular letterforms in both upper and lowercase. To pull this off properly it required a large grid faux-Bézier approach.Everything else just enfolded along the way. The design, (obviously) a geometric grotesque, but also has a neo-grotesque feel as well. The almost quirky looking letter widths give this a very strong early 1900s feel.
While many letters mostly have even stroke width, upclose you'll notice some stroke width variation is going on after all. This to bring more conttract into certain area's.
The font is optimized for Body-Type in both Digital- and Print-use at very small point sizes. In Digital-display-use it performs crisp even as low as 9pts. (Not bad at all I think)
Cheers
Argh, this was horrible to make .. well, getting it slightly balanced was a nightmare. The missing segments of the glyphs constantly caused my brain to correct what I was looking at by means of general logic and my knowledge about the way in which letter spacing usually works. This effect was worst with the letters T, U, Y. And I am convinced that it still contains the necessary disproportionate irregularities with regard to the metrics. I tried kerning it as best as I could. It has only uppercase letters, no numerals and very limited punctuations. I am not sure if I will ever complete this.
enjoy!
This is a cloneSort of a revival of the geometric letters seen on a 1916 Dutch litho to paper poster for Wm H. Müller & Co.'s Batavier-lijn passenger service Rotterdam-London. The Batavier Line was the oldest steam shipping line in the Netherlands. The line existed from 1830-1960.
The litho design was originally done by Bart van der Leck (1876 - 1958).
The fontstruction is a Faux Bezier approach, so the design grid was huge. Making it a lot of work and hard to ballance with the editors kerning feature.
I made a couple of small changes as compared to the original, most significant is the upscaled Ampersand.
I completed the alphabet plus numerals and some punctuations.
There are still a small number of spacing issues that needs to be solved.
More characters will follow soon.
Second addition to the FAUXHAUX typeface, this version includes Support for uppercase.
Enjoy!
This is a clone of STF_FAUXHAUXWhat suposed to be a revival of the "1957 Stedelijk Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven Brabant" poster, original work by Wim Crouwel, actually failed terribly since I never peeked at the original while I made this (thought i had it well preserved in my memory, but seems I did not).
Nonetheless It isn't a bad font I guess, so...
Enjoy!
