An attempt at Gridbug in 2x2!
This font was created for my roleplaying game. It is intended to be written in vertical columns with the hexagon starting a new paragraphm the large T-shapes start each new line, and the hooked bars are for adding extra information to words.
A recreation of the faux-italic pixel font from Konami's "Biker Mice from Mars" (1994) for the SNES. Only the characters found in the game are included.
Updated 05/2017 to add a few missing characters and fix existing one.
Updated 07/2017 because the ampersand was missing a pixel...
Experimental doodle. The idea here was to make letters, ascenders/descenders, and diacritics obey the same ratios. The result looks sci-fi and sporty at the same time...
This font was at first inspired by old computer programs, but quickly came to be much more. It includes my "standard-charakter-set" thus far.
I'll maybe do a variation with serifs, and/or add more charakters soon.
Distressed is an uppercase font focusing on the theme destruction. Within this element I looked more specifically at mental health and how social media has an affect on our mental wellbeing. I created a cracked and distressed effect on each individual letter to visually express the pressure and insecurity we can experience from social media.
This is one of my more advanced non-pixel fonts.
Done with 2x2 filters, nudging, and the occasional composite.
Contrast is, for the most part, fully even, making it look like the horizontal strokes are a bit thicker than vertical strokes. Wherever needed, strokes are 1/2 the usual thickness. Horizontal strokes in the descenders are 3/4 the usual weight.
Inspired by ProCon.com.au's HV font series.
- Finish Latin-1 Extensions.
- Add smart quotes and everything in the SuperLatin keyboard layout. (KreativeKorp)
Also, FS bug: Pixel view on fontstructions with 2x2 filters is actually one notch too small, and when I correct that myself, it's a little too low, creating a shadowed (and sometimes, a slightly scanlined) appearance.
Even the artificial thickening doesn't quite hide the brick placement.
Right now, when I download this, Windows says the .zip file is invalid. Trying 7-zip...
7-zip fails too?
This typeface was concevied two years ago and later shelved. Thought that it was still worth finishing so here it is. It's another take on the square dot matrix style that I did with the MinSha typeface back in 2010.
