A new member of the Afro-family is born: Afroblack, another version of Afrobeat without any horizontal lines. Although I changed only a couple of details it has a very different feeling. Take a look at the example! I´m not sure about the numbers, probably a few of them have need to be reworked. What do you think?

Well, apparently everybody here likes building letters... And I'm sure everybody got told at least once to finally shut down that damn computer while fontstructing.
Here's how you can go on tinkering fonts even with the computer unplugged!;)
I had carried this idea around with me a long time ago, doing some sketches, but abandoning it cause I thought all the thin and dotted lines would go beyond fontstruct's possibilities. Until funk_king proved me wrong... Thanks for the re-inspiration!
I think this is pretty self-explaining. Cut along the solid lines, fold along the dotted lines and put some glue on the shaded parts, put it all together, and there you go with your new toys!
Unfortunately it was impossible to fill all the inner sides of all the counters, but I tried to leave them open where you'd see it least. There might also be some bugs, I haven't tried them out yet. Pure brainwork so far... (My brain's still in the freezer to cool down a bit) In case someone ever actually uses them and finds something wrong, please let me know!
Hope you like it!:)
Check out the fill font if you wanna print your own custom-made design on the letters!

This took me many, many hours of trying, learning, erasing and restarting. Especially the design of the caps was hard; sooo many possibilities! However, i'm proud to present you my first real blackletter font :) I would like to add some more glyphs to the "more latin" set, but the size seems to be close to the download limit. It's downloadable yet, but i had to erase some glyphs...
ps:
there's an alternate "a" on "@",
and some decorative stuff on "#" and "*".
cheers

the DOT experience continues...
It gives you an unexpected kind of FREEDOM creating lines with dots.
This time i doubled the resolution by using 2x2 circles.
Finally your eye can help making curves of any size look complete and entirely smooth!
Oh my god...
I see more possibilities now than ever before!! That technique of "dotting", as i call it, will make my brain bust, i guess.
:P
May the force be with me!

Inspired by caseycastille's Chinese Chairs, this started out as an exploration of optional letters for that font. Then I just doodled some repeating patterns. Then I saw how I can fill the patterns inside the letters. They fit together pretty easily for vertical letters, but diagonals were really tricky. The end product resembled Hawaiian leis draped over each glyph. Very floral. So there you have it. Flowers. For Casey. :)This is a clone

Hunstrüct is my first attempt at designing a contemporary blackletter typeface within Fontstruct. The typeface draws inspiration from the long tradition of German Fraktur styled blackletters. The name Hunstrück is taken from a mountain range in Germany called the Hunsrück. Primarily I was aiming to build a face that would work well as a display type for gig posters and larger headlines but as I reworked the typeface I tried to strike a balance between text and display.
Big thanks goes to djnippa for his hard work in spacing this font properly.

This is my first humble attempt at something blackletterish. It's the third clone of the initial starting point which was based on another blackletter attempt I did some time ago... Seems like I'm not much of a blackletter natural.:) I'm not completely happy with this one neither, but just pumping it out because i don't currently find any motivation or creativity to improve it.
Any suggestions for improvement are welcome! Especially for the T, that one gives me the creeps... And yes, I know kerning can get quite messy and is best done by hand.

This was fun to do.
---Not liking the e and the s so much. ---While doing the sample, I found that even though the inter-character spacing is specifically set to one grid space wide, Photoshop was rendering the spacing differently per character pair. Same in Illustrator. Curious, I opened it in FontLab Studio. Turns out, the characters that have a half-wide brick left of the left edge in FontStruct are another half-brick-width over in the TrueType file. The sample is, therefore, manually kerned back to original.

FontStruct bricks used to build a font set made of LEGO bricks.
Note that "_" can be used to add a blank space six units large, and "^" can be used to add a blank space one unit large.
Use Legorama Fill to add a perfectly matching color to the text letters.

Cleaning out the queue. I can't believe this one has been sitting in here for *gulp* eight months! I figure if I don't kick it out now, then it will sit here sequestered for another eight.
The title is inspired by my struggles to space this one properly.
A work in progress. Taking any and all feedback - especially for spacing.
Works best at specific sizes. Enjoy. This is a clone
