As I know, the design related with sports changed a lot from the old-school look. Nowdays, sport magazines, TV channels, commercials for example, have very smooth and modern style. Bubblemania! Named after a bubble tea/wing restaurant in Calgary. It's been on the back burner for a while. I wanted to fill out the "More Latin" set a little more, but I think it's ready to be released. If I have time, I'll add more characters. Also, it's quite pixel-friendly. Check it out. A pixel-friendly semi-condensed slab serif fontstruction. Deceptively simple in appearance, variable stroke thickness is achieved through advanced filters and a one-brick stroke thickness for vertical strokes. I kept the spacing tight (and at an integer value) so it works decently well as a pixel font down to 8 pt (at 72 ppi this gives an x-height of four pixels and a breezily condensed form). Some funky spacing issues remain without kerning pairs. inspired by Redonda and the other excellent fonts that have been done in this style. this is my first dot font. i searched to see if there were any italics and didn't find any; but they may be hiding here somewhere. started with lc just to see if i could do a basic set. then went for the uc and decided to make it a little more fancy or lyrical, if you will. then one thing led to another and i can't believe i did the whole basic latin :) i thought about waiting to release it, but changed my mind. this was fun and allows for the visualization of curves which really can't be done in FS. but still, i guess it's not like the real thing. oh, well :) ]]> https://fontstruct.com/fontstructions/show/287367/lyrical_of Thu, 11 Feb 2010 02:31:26 +0000

This took me for absolutely ever. I haven't produced anything for ages because i have been revising and having exams and stuff and just didn't feel like making anything. I've been in and out of this font for about 2-3 months. I think this helped me as to not just to keep producing the similar letters each time. I may add some more characters later just im a bit bored of it to be honest. I do like it, its just that it was a lot of effort. I hand drew most letters, and the others I copied and tweaked.
