Inspired by the pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and the flying buttresses found in Gothic architecture and the calligraphic Gothic Hand, a young and undaunted designer set forth to minimize counter space and emphasize vertical height with only a few bricks. The result was a modular blackletter font with crossbars, serifs and finials embodying a sense of sideways movement. May the design gods have mercy on her soul.

Prog is a condensed, geometric, modular display typeface with a contemporary sci-fi aesthetic. The design draws from a multitude of influences. Specifically I was inspired by: mathematics, Japanese space-rock, the movie MOON (directed by David Bowie's kid), and the Funk King's wonderful molecular work here on FontStruct.

The principle building block for the design is an obtuse angle segment that's cloned, reflected, and rotated to create an entire letter. Mapping the technique to the whole typeface was a challenge and there are some compromises (see D and U). As is frequently the case with these strict modular exercises the T is the stand out ugly duckling.

An attempt at creating a set based upon each glyph being set in a square (with obvious exceptions such as i, f, 1 etc). The 'Squarial' was the nickname for an old British motorbike - 'The Arial Square Four'

Cleaning out the queue. I can't believe this one has been sitting in here for *gulp* eight months! I figure if I don't kick it out now, then it will sit here sequestered for another eight.

The title is inspired by my struggles to space this one properly.

A work in progress. Taking any and all feedback - especially for spacing.

Works best at specific sizes. Enjoy.

A futuristic, angular Blackletter. The lower case is inspired partially by an English Textualis design. Tannenberg Fett sort of inspired the uppercase. Full Latin, More Latin, and Extended Latin A sets. Alternate 'a's can be found in Extended Latin B. Performs quite well at small sizes, but recommended for display use.

This is my first fontstruction, so please be gentle :) I made this as an exercise based on my own square-tip pen calligraphy, and it turned out to be some kind of "modern" blackletter. Please send in any comments/sugestions/critics/whatever
