The lines are interesting to see. The lines form longer loops. With few loops interesting patterns can be formed. Sometimes a single line can compose a kolam. Decoration is not the sole purpose of kolam. Traditionally kolam is drawn with dry rice powder. And it is said to invite other small creatures to eat it. Everyday a new kolam is drawn.

It was created for a typography brief set in my first year at UWE Bristol. From the word pompous I was inspired to look at black letter fonts and ornate styles of decoration. Any feedback would be appreciated! If you use this font within your work please post a link with your final outcome, as its always nice to see your creation in action!

Latin-A is a mess of alternates and swashy ideas (for now). I may update them with proper diacritics, a suite of swash caps, and the rest of the characters from the original. Numerals need revising to fit the cap height. Enjoy this beta!

This is me drawing Paul Renner's original Futura from memory, without intending to. Actually, I was going for something more Avante Garde. It all started with the O and developed from there. The hardest letter = S. It was a real pain in the S. It was interesting afterward to compare the letters to Futura after finishing the caps.

Futura - It was like the Helvetica of 1928.

Bezziaire is an early experimental simulation of Bezier curves with FS2.0. Zooming 30% and below renders best results.

Horizontal optical compensation added for the circular glyphs, as well as baseline overshoots.

Oh yeah, this also has preliminary involvement with shasta's circle competition, which is seriously humbled by his Circle Cult.

Rooted in the latin word for 'Dangerous.' This was an experiment in using FontStruct without filters. It reminded me of why I use filters 90% of the time. There aren't as many solutions possible.

Periculum died after a bad copy and paste malfunction. The resurrection process was like walking on eggshells, but here it is. Lowercase was rushed a bit just to get it out there for Aphoria.

The smoothness comes with the combination of preview scaling and anti-aliasing. It has to be scaled at just the right size to look convincing for on-screen purposes. This makes it more ideal for non-print related usage.

060415. Numbers
101815. Symbols added. Preview looks normal on the font's page, but not on the 'Handgloves' listing.

The x-height is 132 grid squares.

I used many of the new angles enabled by FS 2.0 (1:8, 1:6, 1:4, 1:3, 2:3) in an attempt to create very smooth curves.
