“Sector 034” by Neoqueto

Releasing two more fonts within a day, well, after a huge break I couldn't come back empty-handed.

This is a remix of my most popular font, Sector 017, but this time it's clean and simple, only leaving random cuts and angles here and there. Still, it's a super-duper-techno-futuristic font.

A loooong time ago someone asked me to do a version without the famous eroded pattern. So I created this FontStruction and I've been working on it for... more than a year. Why so long? LOL I DUNNO.

Similar version is visible in many designs of TAMRECORDS (a Russian neurofunk record label) and the credit goes to Pixel Junglist, an Ukrainian artist who is responsible for their artworks (I guess he is...). He remixed the original Sector 017 as well, I think I've just made his job much easier :).

There are "Basic Latin" and "More Latin" character sets available +Polish and Cyrillic characters.

Take a look here: http://www.behance.net/gallery/TAMRECORDS/568101

It doesn't mean that I'm not going to rig up a nice sample pic. It's gonna be at least about 20% cooler than the one I made for Sector 017.

“Scary Glyphs & Nice Characters” by Neoqueto

A font inspired by Skrillex logo. Skrillex is a stage name of Sonny Moore, an electronic music artist who is famous for his dubstep releases, especially his EP called "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites".

Each letter has a different horizontal position in lowercase.

Enjoy.

Future plans: expanding to full latin set, editing in FontLab Studio, in addition with proper kerning, spacing, precise positioning and some minor stuff which is impossible to be done in FontStruct (for now).

A message for everyone: if you're about to type "Skrillex" only, I recommend you making or downloading a perfect vector trace of the original logotype OR just hit "#", if you decide to use my font for your design. I often see Skrillex's logo adaptations made using this font and... I don't know why, but people somehow screw it up almost everytime.

Changelog:

18.10.2011
- numerals added

20.7.2012
- changed the name, removed "(Skrillex font" part
- added the following characters: "!", "?", "-", "_", ",", ".", "$".

Because people are frequently looking for this font on the internet and they have various problems with registering on FontStruct, I'm providing a link to the font on Dropbox: URL (three extra sample pics included! Woohoo! Everyone loves sample pics!)

Make sure you will read one of these text files preceded by numerous semicolons attached to the archive. You will also find there readme and license files provided by FontStruct. The archive itself is 100% virus-free.

Sites like DaFont did not accept it through the process of submission. Not sure why, though. Metallica or AC/DC inspired fonts are available, sigh.

Disclaimer: I do not own any rights to Skrillex brand and/or any of trademarks related to it. I am not taking any responsibility for legal issues resulting from usage of this font. The font itself is not 100% accurate with "Skrillex" logotype. If you are the owner of the rights to the brand, you can complain by sending an e-mail to me on address: neoqueto@derpymail.com.

Lowercase doesn't have the stencil "divisions", but the whole font is all caps.

Suggestions are welcome.

“LDR MANUFACTURE” by Neoqueto

I was about to publish this as a candidate for HMC, but I didn't do it. Why? Problems with "hand made" sample and frustration after all. Basically that was the reason. I cut out some of the letters (a phrase: "Working hard") with a knife in a bunch of different materials like cloth, paper, leather, plastic, even in sliced cheese, everything on a contour... And I lost the outcomes :|. I don't know where I put them. Yeah, I lost them about 2 days ago, I could make another cut-out letters, but those were perfect, I was so happy with them, but I had no afflation to make new ones. When I'll find them I'll show them up here.

The "N" made from cheese was lying in the fridge so far (for an obvious reason)... I was really hungry, and a sandwich without cheese is no more a sandwich.

It looks too "techno-ish" to be published without a photograph of the font in a real life.

Nowdays, sport magazines, TV channels, commercials for example, have very smooth and modern style. I wanted to create a FontStruction, that fully describes this style. Enjoy.
