My typeface is based on the theme of disintegration. My starting point came from my interpretation of the word disintegrate; I immediately thought of 'burn'. After this I carried out some experiments by burning paper which led me to focus on the fragility of the charred edges. This made me want to create a delicate typeface with subtle shading; I found that I was influenced by Baskerville and Bistream Vera. My final typeface is designed to look like burnt paper.
