I started off looking at the word 'curves' and after generally looking at spirals and curved objects I decided to make the letters themselves curve. I cut the letter 'A' out of black cardboard and placed it in a glass of water, and then photographed it at many different angles and positions. I really liked the distorted effect the water had on the letters, and so after changing the theme to 'reflection' I carried on this technique with the rest of the alphabet. 'Pane in my glass' is made up of my favourite shapes that came out of this experimentation.

This lead me to the Star of David and I looked at Daniel Libeskind's designs for the Jewish Museum in Berlin. I experimented with which letters fit into the religious symbol and it turned out that they all did! So here it is... The Star of Harriet!

'Ornate' was the word selected from a list as a starting point. My interest in isometric designs was triggered by Jakob Runge's Fracmetrica typeface. And I know my typeface isn't truly isometric; it's damn hard to create isometric angles on Fontstruct, especially as this is my first font on here. Any constructive criticism, suggestions or advice will be greatly received.
(I've no idea why Fontstruct has displayed my characters in such a strange order)

It is not intended to be used for typing in English. *****Features of Lojmornan:***** - Voiced/unvoiced pair representation of consonants by addition of center dot in unvoiced consonants. - All vowels are open strokes, all consonants are closed strokes. - Isomorphic, morphology also roughly reflects phonology. - Unique system to handle all 16 possible diphthongs. - Stressed cmene vowels/syllables are handled with a stress marker. - Stops (semi-lerfu) are handled by connecting center line dots. {'} is represented by a dot both above and bellow the connecting center line, {,} is a dot above the connecting center line and {.} is a dot bellow the connecting center line. - Spaces between words are easily recognizable, even when handwritten as they are represented by a break in the center line. - Non-Lojban letters q/w/h are included but are marked with a floating loop above the center line. - Lojmornan includes a unique set of numerals that work with Lojmornan representation of the comma and the decimal. - Lojmornan can be written (with practice) at speeds comparable to that of writing in the Roman alphabet as it uses a minimal number of strokes. - Lojmornan can be written horizontally left to right or vertically top to bottom (by treating the top strokes as the right of the center line and bottom strokes as left of the center line). - All Lojmornan glyphs are easily represented by segment displays. *****Key mapping:***** - Diphthong vowel dots are assigned to keystrokes: Shift + 1/2/3/4/5/6 for a/e/i/o/u/y respectively. - Stops: '/,/. are mapped normally (Shift + '/./, also work). - Numerals are mapped normally.

I might do some alternates in the lower case area, and possibly also numbers. But I really shouldn't. Funny how creativity flows, when you should be doing something else :p
