I like that better, however, I think doing the S/s like the C would be better, i.e., just put the angle on the outer edges. You could also make the spacing a bit wider to have just a hint of the thin bar showing—that type of design was common for Fraktur/Blackletter fonts.

Granted, you could also do the S/s entirely angled, i.e., so that they look like lightning bolts, which would be similar to the viking rune for S.
