First, this language was designed as part of a campaign involving droids forming their own empire hidden in the shadows of the Star Wars universe. There's not a lot of punctuation as a result. All new sentences begin with the : key, which generates a filled triangle pointing to the right. Before any capital letter in the middle of a sentence, you press the ; key to generate the same triangle, but unfilled, as this is a place holder, and capital letters are all filled. Anytime a series of numbers are used in a sentence, you press the | key to bring up a downward facing triangle, signalling the start of numeric digits. This cipher is based on binary, and since droids speak in binary tones, it kind of sprung from that.
