Perhaps the width of the lower elements need to be as wide as the upper ones - to give more balance.
It is very tricky trying to get parallel curves right, but I think they would benefit from a bit more work.

Changed the shape of the parallel curves. Added extended Latin A (no symbols though)and LC. The LC has wider base lines as p2pnut suggested.

As the song says ... "What A Difference A Day Makes" Those curves look so much better. I like the wideer bases to the LC, but also the UC is growing on me :)
