Wider lines on this version of Raysan. As it is a display font it only needs upper case and some essential punctuation. It would be useful for shop signs, headers and (part of) logos. It belongs to the Raysan family but I changed some spacings.
Yes,I didn't follow my design rule for J,T,Z,1,2,3,7 nor for .,+-+ and the different types of >< I found the left lines with the a in @ and e in & unpleasant and unnecessary.
This is a clone of Raysan GreatDecorative font without curves. Despite some fancy 'serif' kind of additions to most letters it different from the usual small fonts.
Feel free to replace those non-corner triangles with squares ;) to get a different look :D
Aloe is a font based on shadows and geometry. The idea is to create the illusion of depth within the font. The concept all stems from diligence, at first I thought about the characteristics a diligent person has and wanted to represent this in a font.
Designed as part of my university course, this font is based around the word 'squishy', taking inspiration from body forms, shapes and the creases which are created from these body types. The emphasis is not so much around the shape itself, but the negative space between them. I designed my font around the theme ‘Elegant’ studying the Crown Jewels that are owned by the British Royal Family. I focused on the structure within each jewel and particularly was interested in how the light catches on certain shards within the stones. My initial idea was to shade each of the sections using a different colour, however this proved difficult with the ‘Fontstruct’ software. Eventually instead of shading with different colours I shaded uses the small dots to create a stipple effect which I believe to still be just as effective.
Working with the theme 'destructive', I have investigated how eating unhealthy food can cause plaque build up and lead to tooth decay. The detail and shading on the letters represent the erosion of a tooth when it starts to decay. The font would be used for more decrative purposes but could also be used in add campaigns that warn the genral public of tooth decay. Due to the font being eroded its self it would reflect the information in the add and could even go as far as sublininally sending a message to the veiwer a warning that their teeth could end up looing like this font.
I produced this typeface as a part of a UWE project. I started by exporing the word dangerous, where I moved onto the topic of fear. This lead me to a fear of heights and ultimately glass and the way it smashes. This broken glass typeface is shattered as if hit directly and smashed into shape. I wanted it to look more unorganised so the smash seemed more natural. I didn't want the pieces to fit the shape of the letter form but I also didn't want you to be unable to read the letter so I felt like this was a good middle ground between the two. This typeface is to be used as a title font rather than text font.
Folded is typeface based on the idea of paper folding. The idea of the paper folding technique was inspired by my original theme of the life and mind of an introvert. The word introvert means a person who thinks 'inward', so therefore to start off with i played around with the idea of 'inward thinking' and came across the idea of folding paper as when folding paper things become distorted and changed and can also be seen as a inward action or to look inward when folding things in half for example. This later on led me to this typface.
