My research for this started in the city, but it became arrparent that most of the more natural, organic and unseen forms lay within the forest. I spent time looking at how the bark forms on trees, but what grabbed me was the way the branches above connected and crossed over to produce a network of hundreds of shapes and lines. It was from this that I created my type, mimicking the sight of branches when you look up through a tree.I%20decided%20to%20base%20a%20font%20around%20timid%20text%2C%20exploring%20mainly%20the%20letters%20that%20we%20can%27t%20see.%20My%20research%20for%20this%20started%20in%20the%20city%2C%20but%20it%20became%20arrparent%20that%20most%20of%20the%20more%20natural%2C%20organic%20and%20unseen%20forms%20lay%20within%20the%20forest.%20I%20spent%20time%20looking%20at%20how%20the%20bark%20forms%20on%20trees%2C%20but%20what%20grabbed%20me%20was%20the%20way%20the%20branches%20above%20connected%20and%20crossed%20over%20to%20produce%20a%20network%20of%20hundreds%20of%20shapes%20and%20lines.%20It%20was%20from%20this%20that%20I%20created%20my%20type%2C%20mimicking%20the%20sight%20of%20branches%20when%20you%20look%20up%20through%20a%20tree.

My inspiration originally came from my everyday walk to Uni; past old factories, over a disused railway bridge and past an old cricket ground. I then started to broaden my view of decay and looked at the way it effects different things including the decay theory (a theory used my psychologists about memory) and then finally I narrowed it down to dead tress. The finally font has been inspired by the illustrations of Tim Burton.
