My searching eventually lead me to a certain font I can't remember the name of, but unfortunately, that font wasn't perfectly tailored to my needs. It was close, though. Eventually, I decided to just make my own font based on a concept I'd started using. This is what I came up with. This font doesn't look particularly good bolded, but it looks great italicized. And of course, it looks pretty darn good just as it is, as well.
