It was my first time using this site and I found it quite hard at first but now quite enjoy the possibilities. I started by looking at the word "Ornate" which to me, means adorned or decorated. When I looked at decorative adorned work, I noticed the use of vines and flowers. I then took photos of vines on buildings which inspired my font. I started with a basic letter form and by using composite bricks I added pattern in the bricks and edges much like some older buildings. Then finally added vines and flowers to complete the font. I%20created%20this%20font%20for%20my%20University%20project.%20It%20was%20my%20first%20time%20using%20this%20site%20and%20I%20found%20it%20quite%20hard%20at%20first%20but%20now%20quite%20enjoy%20the%20possibilities.%20I%20started%20by%20looking%20at%20the%20word%20%22Ornate%22%20which%20to%20me%2C%20means%20adorned%20or%20decorated.%20When%20I%20looked%20at%20decorative%20adorned%20work%2C%20I%20noticed%20the%20use%20of%20vines%20and%20flowers.%20I%20then%20took%20photos%20of%20vines%20on%20buildings%20which%20inspired%20my%20font.%0D%0A%0D%0AI%20started%20with%20a%20basic%20letter%20form%20and%20by%20using%20composite%20bricks%20I%20added%20pattern%20in%20the%20bricks%20and%20edges%20much%20like%20some%20older%20buildings.%20Then%20finally%20added%20vines%20and%20flowers%20to%20complete%20the%20font.%20

This typeface is based on ‘decay’ and the way it takes shape on objects, almost as if it’s melting/ taking over like some kind of disease. I have also used thorns and the way they wrap around each other, like a snake wrapping itself round it’s pray.This%20is%20my%20first%20fontstruct%20design%20for%20my%20project%20in%20my%20Graphic%20Design%20degree%20at%20UWE%20Bristol.%20This%20typeface%20is%20based%20on%20%E2%80%98decay%E2%80%99%20and%20the%20way%20it%20takes%20shape%20on%20objects%2C%20almost%20as%20if%20it%E2%80%99s%20melting%2F%20taking%20over%20like%20some%20kind%20of%20disease.%20I%20have%20also%20used%20thorns%20and%20the%20way%20they%20wrap%20around%20each%20other%2C%20like%20a%20snake%20wrapping%20itself%20round%20it%E2%80%99s%20pray.
