It's not the most intricate of designs, but conveys the idea of order in the form of receipts clearly. I was influenced by Art Deco design, as well as the form of grids. It was developed by hand using a ruler and pen, experimenting with spacing and curves. The same shapes and angles are used right throughout, lending to the idea of an ordered typeface.This%20typeface%20is%20the%20response%20to%20the%20word%20order.%20I%20was%20influenced%20by%20Art%20Deco%20design%2C%20as%20well%20as%20the%20form%20of%20grids.%20It%20was%20developed%20by%20hand%20using%20a%20ruler%20and%20pen%2C%20experimenting%20with%20spacing%20and%20curves.%20The%20same%20shapes%20and%20angles%20are%20used%20right%20throughout%2C%20lending%20to%20the%20idea%20of%20an%20ordered%20typeface.

The typeface is designed around how scientists draw molecules. Each line uses the same angle as a diagram of a molecule it also follows an equation for the movement of the strokes, multiples of x in this case x =3. I wanted to communicate order my typeface, so I researched order within society and this led me to the Russian communist era, constructivism was an art movement within this period. The bold clear typorgraphy of this era influenced me to produce this slab serif version of a constructivist font. I chose to give this font serifs to give an added touch of order and formality. However I do intend to produce a sans serif version and also a bolder, headliner version of the font. It is a weighty typeface with a strong presence. Due to this nature I would say that the font is best used for subtitles and signange, possibly not main headline text.
