It’s no Helvetica, but the result is pretty interesting nonetheless. Check out the counter spaces in the lowercase forms—they took the most design thinking/work. This%20is%20my%20humble%20attempt%20to%20design%20a%20more%20modern%20translation%20of%20the%20beautiful%201896%20Berthold%20masterpiece%20Akzidenz%20Grotesk.%20It%E2%80%99s%20no%20Helvetica%2C%20but%20the%20result%20is%20pretty%20interesting%20nonetheless.%20Check%20out%20the%20counter%20spaces%20in%20the%20lowercase%20forms%E2%80%94they%20took%20the%20most%20design%20thinking%2Fwork.%20

I slightly changed the shape of some letters, digits and symbols by adding that extra little segment at line ends (such as in "S", "6" and "?"), removed the "weird" dot from the "O", changed "1", "2" and "@", added a lot of other typographic and other symbols (for example "#", "~", "§" and superscript 1/2/3) and some accented letters. The font is now capable of displaying english, hungarian, german and probably a couple other languages with extended latin alphabets, and is now fully usable in MS Office's "show whitespace" mode (has both the "pilcrow" and the "not" sign).
