6%20comments642%20glyphs42A%20favorite%20of%2017%20users17Sam%20Lambert%2C%20Graphic%20Design%20student%20at%20UWE.%0D%0A%0D%0AFor%20my%20project%20I%20went%20with%20the%20theme%20of%20laziness%20%28after%20an%20early%20failed%20attempt%20at%20using%20the%20theme%20of%20repetition%29.%0D%0A%0D%0AWhilst%20researching%20my%20theme%20I%20looked%20into%20the%20things%20people%20like%20doing%20best%20when%20feeling%20lazy%2C%20two%20very%20popular%20activities%20were%20smoking%20and%20sleeping.%20I%20wanted%20to%20create%20a%20simple%2Fclean%20typeface%20that%20had%20a%20lazy%20feel%20to%20it.%20I%20tried%20to%20avoid%20giving%20it%20a%20predictable%20slouched%20look%20and%20thought%20a%20smokey%2Fdreamy%20effect%20would%20work%20well%20for%20a%20font%20and%20also%20link%20to%20my%20research.%0D%0A%0D%0AI%20wanted%20to%20incorporate%20the%20smoking%20and%20sleeping%2Fdreaming%20themes%20into%20the%20name%20and%20thought%20%27Pipe%20Dream%27%20was%20perfect%20as%20it%20relates%20to%20both%20smoking%20and%20dreaming.%0D%0A%0D%0AAll%20feedback%20is%20appreciated.

Category: Display, Picture/Symbol18%20downloads181%20comments164%20glyphs64A%20favorite%20of%2010%20users10UPDATE%3A%20I%20have%20altered%20the%20letters%20%27U%27%2C%20%27H%27%20and%20%27X%27%20in%20order%20to%20increase%20legibility.%20-%2014%2F11%2F11%0D%0A%0D%0AThe%20outcome%20of%20my%20first%20Graphic%20Design%20project%20at%20the%20University%20of%20the%20West%20of%20England.%20This%20typeface%20is%20based%20on%20the%20designated%20theme%20of%20%27Evil%27.%20As%20the%20project%20developed%20I%20began%20to%20move%20away%20from%20the%20rather%20stereotypical%20%27dark%27%20imagery%20commonly%20associated%20with%20evil%20and%20approached%20the%20topic%20in%20a%20different%2C%20light-hearted%20manner.%20This%20led%20me%20onto%20the%20theme%20of%20villainy%20in%20popular%20culture%2C%20from%20film%20to%20video%20games.%20The%20classic%20ghosts%20of%20the%20arcade%20game%20Pac-Man%20are%20designed%20with%20such%20consideration%20-%20they%20are%20required%20to%20communicate%20both%20character%20and%20threat%20to%20the%20player%2C%20whilst%20still%20falling%20within%20the%20limitations%20of%20the%201980s%20hardware.%20As%20a%20result%2C%20these%20creatures%20personify%20the%20concept%20of%20%27evil%20stripped%20down%20to%20its%20essential%20forms.%27
