This was designed during the first term of my Graphic Design degree at UWE Bristol. I began thinking about decorative work, and delicate materials such as lace, and silk. This then began to make me think of wedding dresses, and book characters, such as 'Miss Havisham' from the Charles Dickens novel Great Expectations. I then began to look into her character in detail, and thought of her bitterness, as well as her heartbreak and femininity. I began after that, to think of her in a type, and created this type face. I can now see it being used in brochures, and fashion posters. Following my ‘ornate’ theme I also wanted to keep each letter very attractive making each letter look like an ornament but also if used a full body text still holds this ornamental theme.The%20typeface%20was%20created%20with%20influence%20from%20fonts%20used%20on%20circus%20posters%2C%20I%20wanted%20it%20to%20come%20across%20as%20quite%20flamboyant%20with%20a%20sleek%2C%20more%20modern%20undertone%20which%20I%20think%20I%20have%20achieved%20with%20the%20thin%20vertical%20lines.%20Following%20my%20%E2%80%98ornate%E2%80%99%20theme%20I%20also%20wanted%20to%20keep%20each%20letter%20very%20attractive%20making%20each%20letter%20look%20like%20an%20ornament%20but%20also%20if%20used%20a%20full%20body%20text%20still%20holds%20this%20ornamental%20theme.

Some glyphs came together fairly easy (A B C etc.), others took some doing (T Y S), some just don't work out well (G P Q Z), and some worked too well (I J).Although%20build%20from%20scratch%2C%20AUGHT%20should%20really%20appear%20as%20a%20clone%20of%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Ffontstruct.fontshop.com%2Ffontstructions%2Fshow%2F240731%22%3Eought%3C%2Fa%3E%20because%20the%20idea%20is%20the%20same%2C%20just%20a%20different%20execution.%20Some%20glyphs%20came%20together%20fairly%20easy%20%28A%20B%20C%20etc.%29%2C%20others%20took%20some%20doing%20%28T%20Y%20S%29%2C%20some%20just%20don%27t%20work%20out%20well%20%28G%20P%20Q%20Z%29%2C%20and%20some%20worked%20too%20well%20%28I%20J%29.

And believe it or not, in the process of doing these three fonts, enough additional glyphs were created and deleted to fill at least two more variants. This is why the Clone is enabled again so someone else might experiment some more, if they so choose.Yet%20another%20version%20that%20came%20while%20modifying%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Ffontstruct.fontshop.com%2Ffontstructions%2Fshow%2F242355%22%3EAUGHT%20One%3C%2Fa%3E%20to%20%3Ca%20href%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Ffontstruct.fontshop.com%2Ffontstructions%2Fshow%2F249664%22%3EAUGHT%20To%3C%2Fa%3E.%20And%20believe%20it%20or%20not%2C%20in%20the%20process%20of%20doing%20these%20three%20fonts%2C%20enough%20additional%20glyphs%20were%20created%20and%20deleted%20to%20fill%20at%20least%20two%20more%20variants.%20This%20is%20why%20the%20Clone%20is%20enabled%20again%20so%20someone%20else%20might%20experiment%20some%20more%2C%20if%20they%20so%20choose.
