Last edit: 27.10.20143%20downloads32%20comments232%20glyphs32A%20favorite%20of%202%20users2This%20font%20was%20created%20in%20response%20to%20the%20theme%20of%20%27Dangerous%27.%20I%20was%20influenced%20by%20the%20fonts%20used%20in%20old%20horror%20film%20posters%20from%20the%201960%27s%2C%20examples%20include%20%27Atom%20Age%20Vampire%27%20%20and%20%27The%20Damned%27.%20I%20have%20taken%20standard%20lettering%20and%20removed%20chunks%2C%20applied%20shading%20and%20drawn%20the%20outlines%20in%20an%20unstable%20manner%20to%20evoke%20violence%20and%20gore.%20The%20title%20is%20a%20reference%20to%20the%20tagline%20on%20the%20poster%20for%20%27The%20Night%20of%20the%20Living%20Dead%27.

Last edit: 27.10.20148%20downloads83%20comments331%20glyphs31A%20favorite%20of%201%20user1This%20is%20the%20typeface%20that%20I%20have%20deigned%20in%20my%20first%20term%20doing%20Graphic%20Design%20at%20Bristol%20UWE.%20I%20was%20looking%20at%20the%20word%20Dangerous.%20In%20the%20beginning%20I%20looked%20at%20broken%20things%2C%20construction%20sites%2C%20sharp%20tools%2C%20thorns%20etc.%20until%20I%20narrowed%20down%20my%20themes%20to%20sharp%20objects%20and%20the%20swift%20way%20that%20a%20knife%20can%20cut%20paper.%20Looking%20at%20this%20fast%20movement%20I%20tried%20to%20minimise%20the%20number%20of%20lines%20that%20I%20used%20in%20my%20typeface.%20In%20my%20opinion%20this%20font%20can%20be%20used%20for%20promotional%20%E2%80%98danger%E2%80%99%20posters%20or%20advertisement.%20
Last edit: 08.11.20137%20downloads71%20comments135%20glyphs35My%20project%20was%20to%20create%20a%20font%20around%20a%20particular%20stimuli%20word%20-%20mine%20being%20%27dangerous%27.%20My%20main%20inspiration%20came%20from%20a%20quote%20from%20my%20scuba%20diving%20instructor%20as%20he%20said%20%22never%20touch%20anything%20in%20the%20water%20that%20is%20beautiful%20as%20all%20the%20beautiful%20things%20are%20the%20most%20dangerous%22.%20When%20I%20think%20of%20this%20quote%20and%20apply%20it%20to%20things%20I%20could%20see%20on%20a%20daily%20basis%2C%20I%20think%20of%20a%20rose%2C%20a%20beautiful%20flower%20with%20sharp%20thorns.%20The%20idea%20for%20my%20font%20was%20to%20create%20not%20a%20beautiful%20font%2C%20but%20a%20strong%20looking%20font%20with%20something%20beautiful%20yet%20harmful%20wrapped%20around%20it.

Last edit: 02.11.201316%20downloads164%20comments435%20glyphs35A%20favorite%20of%204%20users4People%20are%20afraid.%20That%27s%20what%20makes%20us%20human.%20It%27s%20part%20of%20our%20animal%20instinct%20-%20when%20we%20come%20across%20something%20dangerous%2C%20our%20fight-or-flight%20instinct%20kicks%20in.%20I%20surveyed%20a%20class%20of%20students%20and%20asked%20them%20what%20they%20found%20frightening.%20The%20responses%20were%20varied%2C%20and%20although%20some%20were%20predictable%2C%20and%20others%20highly%20unusual%2C%20I%20found%20a%20common%20theme%20in%20many%3B%20things%20that%20bite%2C%20claw%2C%20and%20sting.%20With%20this%20in%20mind%20I%20started%20to%20design%20this%20font%20using%20shapes%20inspired%20by%20both%20the%20teeth%20of%20modern%20domestic%20dogs%20and%20of%20wild%20wolves.%20That%27s%20why%20I%20chose%20to%20name%20it%20%27Fenrir%27%20-%20the%20great%20wolf%20of%20Norse%20mythology.
Last edit: 07.11.201116%20downloads1629%20glyphs29A%20favorite%20of%203%20users3Inspired%20by%20the%20word%20%27dangerous%27%20I%20have%20created%20a%20fontstruction%20based%20upon%20voodoo%2C%20ouija%20boards%20and%20back%20words%20writing.%20The%20font%20tends%20to%20include%20different%20shapes%20for%20instance%20%27crosses%27%2C%20some%20of%20these%20shapes%20have%20been%20inspired%20by%20typeface%20designer%2C%20Rudolf%20Koch%20%27book%20of%20signs%27.%20

Last edit: 12.10.200986%20downloads8620%20comments2085%20glyphs85A%20favorite%20of%2032%20users32This%20was%20fun%20to%20do.%3Cbr%3E%0D%0A---Not%20liking%20the%20e%20and%20the%20s%20so%20much.%3Cbr%3E---While%20doing%20the%20sample%2C%20I%20found%20that%20even%20though%20the%20inter-character%20spacing%20is%20specifically%20set%20to%20one%20grid%20space%20wide%2C%20Photoshop%20was%20rendering%20the%20spacing%20differently%20per%20character%20pair.%20Same%20in%20Illustrator.%20Curious%2C%20I%20opened%20it%20in%20FontLab%20Studio.%20Turns%20out%2C%20the%20characters%20that%20have%20a%20half-wide%20brick%20left%20of%20the%20left%20edge%20in%20FontStruct%20are%20another%20half-brick-width%20over%20in%20the%20TrueType%20file.%20The%20sample%20is%2C%20therefore%2C%20manually%20kerned%20back%20to%20original.
Some fonts you just can’t FontStruct. Try a non-modular typeface from FontShop.com
