Negative%20Chaos%20is%20the%20end%20result%20of%20a%20typography%20project%20at%20Uwe.%20My%20theme%20word%20was%20%27chaos%27%20I%20began%20exploring%20the%20meaning%20of%20this%20word.%20This%20led%20to%20several%20experiments%20exploring%20how%20I%20could%20use%20marks%20or%20patterns%20to%20express%20chaos.%20My%20favourite%20experiment%20used%20the%20stencil%20of%20the%20letter%20and%20then%20used%20drops%20of%20ink%2C%20the%20negative%20space%20of%20the%20letter%20was%20left%20once%20the%20stencil%20was%20removed%20and%20surrounding%20this%20were%20random%20drops%20of%20ink.%20Each%20letter%20was%20therefore%20unique%20so%20there%20was%20already%20an%20element%20of%20chaos%20in%20the%20typeface%2C%20but%20I%20also%20felt%20the%20effect%20of%20ink%20created%20an%20energetic%20feeling%20which%20felt%20chaotic.%20

Category: Display22%20downloads223%20comments356%20glyphs56A%20favorite%20of%208%20users8hello%20my%20name%20is%20gemma%20coates.%20I%20created%20This%20font%20while%20in%20my%20first%20year%20at%20uwe%20studying%20graphic%20design.%20we%20were%20given%20a%20list%20of%20words%20to%20choose%20from%20to%20design%20a%20font%20around.%20I%20chose%20chaos.%20I%20started%20to%20look%20at%20riots%2C%20war%20and%20things%20are%20chaotic%20while%20they%20are%20happening.%20then%20started%20to%20think%20about%20the%20after%20effect%20of%20chaos%20and%20decided%20to%20based%20my%20font%20on%20the%20aftermath%20of%20a%20natural%20disaster%20and%20how%20thing%20become%20disordered%20and%20in%20the%20wrong%20place.

155%20downloads15519%20comments1931%20glyphs31A%20favorite%20of%20146%20users146This%20font%20was%20inspired%20by%20the%20word%20chaos.%20Initially%20to%20me%20chaos%20meant%20incoherent%20mess%2C%20but%20after%20looking%20at%20chaos%20theory%20i%20began%20looking%20at%20ways%20to%20order%20chaos.%20To%20show%20this%20in%20my%20font%20I%20have%20used%20a%20regimented%20typeface%20with%20repeated%20ideas%20of%20thick%20and%20thin%20lines%2C%20but%20juxtaposed%20this%20restriction%20by%20forming%20the%20letters%20with%20chaotic%20scribbles.%20
