I wanted it to look really precise with clean cut sections out of the characters. I also interpreted 'sharp' to be 'on point' and 'ordered', so wanted my type to look clean. I was inspired a lot by Bodoni as its such a clean type with contrasting thick and thin lines which also relates to the cutting and slicing. Small letters are only 6px X 6px and large letters are 8px X 10px. Diagonals play a very important role in the construction of each letter. Also diagonals are more thick than the horizontal and vertical lines if you notice. So I named it Diagonal Knife. I tried to keep the font as simple as possible using minimum number of horizontal, vertical and diagonal lines. Tried to keep the corners of the letters little blunt instead of very sharp.
