I'm just putting it up because it finally has a complete lowercase alphabet & so is actually usable in limited cases. The goal with this project is to create a humanist italic close to a Caslon, but within Fontstruct limitations. The x-height here is actually quite small: 6 blocks tall. This one seems to stand small point sizes surprisingly well. At larger sizes, it begins to look jagged but that's actually kind of nice. Of course kerning is all over the place. Not to mention the lack of capitals, punctuation, etc. There will be changes. The dots are such that the curved shapes and squared-off letters just would not resolve to an equal height no matter what I tried. Then after the mixed x-height that came about in yesterday's la Cross, it occurred to me to just let the letters be as tall as they wanted to be. It seems to work for some odd reason. It's focused on beeing very small, monospaced and easy to read.
