This is meant as JUST a fanart and is not meant to infringe on the authors' rights. --- This font is meant to be viewed and used at PXL sizes (12 px and multiples). --- This pictographic font is a WIP (work in progress). Any suggestions are welcome! --- Changelog: *20 September 2010 — Added new glyphs (FS GUI elements/artifacts + some cursors & GUI widgets, like radio buttons). Notable additions include the FS web browser favicon (in 2 versions!) and the social networking icons found under the "Tell the world" dropdown option. Also changed the picture-to-letter mapping, this requires further improvements, though. *27 September 2010 — 11 new GUI image elements/artifacts were added after suggestions by other FontStructors: 1. The clone icon (Dolly the clone sheep) 2-4. "Add fave", "My fave" and broken-hearted "Drop fave" versions of the heart icon that can be used to keep track of your favorite FontStructions 5-6. Two (2) versions of the current FontShop favicon (faux anti-aliased and B&W contrasted) 7. A rectangular FontStruct mini-banner that appears when embedding a FontStruction into an external website 8. This is a pattern Fontstruction based entirely on the Anni Albers textile pattern of the same name. "Anni Albers began a three decades long collaboration with the internationally recognized design company Knoll in 1951. During the course of this partnership, Knoll released five of Anni's designs: Track, Rail, Lattice, Jhet and Eclat. Originally designed in 1974 as an upholstery pattern, Anni Albers' Eclat, was first produced printed on a cotton/ linen ground in various scales and color combinations. The theme I chose was motion. I started with a few different ideas and by sketching and practising on here I ended up choosing skidmarks found on the road left by cars. Using the lines that the tyremarks leave, I created this font. I've kept it simple, which is how I prefer my work to be. It is a part of my thesis project at Beckmans College of Design in Stockholm, Sweden. I am interested in trying to push Fontstruct's limitations and try to make the "best" font possible due to readability. I am producing a catalogue about Open Source thinking whitin design. I want this catalogue to use this typeface for all the text. Since Fontstruct has the possibility to "Clone" typefaces it would be a good place to collectively try to develope a typeface. And since Fontstruct has an Open Source approach it would be a good platform to try out an experiment like this! You are welcome to join the project by cloning these sketches or make a new font. The goal is to make a typeface that will work good in longer texts. Name your submission "Open Text" and add your name or anything after to keep track of the different fonts in the project. Use the clone feature to develope other submissions to make this a collective thing! Publish your work even though it isn't a complete font set.
